One of Japan’s unique train stations that you should check out!
You can get here by taking a train from Nagasaki Station and transferring at Isahaya Station to the yellow Shimabara Railway Line!
One thing to remember when riding this retro train line: cash only! And don’t be surprised when the train operator collects your ticket when you get off!
🎬 Shiawase no Kiiroi Hankachi (The Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness) is a 1977 Japanese drama film that won Best Picture at the Japan Academy Prize.
The yellow handkerchief in the film carries a beautiful message: hanging one up means “I’m still here waiting for you.” 💛
