The 48th Yokohama Flower & Green Spring Fair just concluded on May 6th.

Yamash*ta Park had 21 flower beds — all designed by a local landscaping company, and all free to come.

Spring 2026 at Chureito Pagoda presents one of Japan’s most iconic moments—cherry blossoms, pagodas, and the majestic Mount Fuji all in one frame.

With blooms predicted to begin around April 6 and peak on April 11, the best time to visit is between April 8–15, 2026.
The Fuji area blooms a little later than Tokyo, making it a perfect spot for a “second wave” of hanami.

Although you’ll have to climb nearly 400 steps, it’s all worth it when you reach the observation deck—a truly timeless view.

If you love classic vibes, culture, and hidden gems—Jimbocho (神保町) is one of the most “Tokyo-like” yet underrated spots.

Japan’s largest used book haven, Jimbocho is known as “Book Town.” There are over 150 bookstores, many specializing in classic literature, history, art, and even rare books.

Lots of old Japanese books, vintage magazines, and even vintage manga. Some stores have rare, out-of-print books.
