【Ongoing Adatara Illumination in Nihonmatsu City】
“Adatara Illumination” takes place at the Okudake Trailhead of Mt. Adatara, which is one of 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, and at the observation plaza near the summit station of the ropeway.
From the ropeway at night, visitors can enjoy the illumination of figures of the rainbow-colored Milky Way and starry sky stretching above the slopes of the Adatara ski resort from the Okudake Trailhead, and the night view of urban areas.
At the observation plaza near the summit station of the ropeway, they can see unique photo spots such as two illuminated structures. They depict the Japanese letter,”あ”. One is a rainbow – colored object. The other is a 180 cm tall- monument.
In addition,I recommend everybody to take pictures of “sparkling ice drinks” and “shining shaved ice” which are sold only at night because they are colorful pictures on social media.

*Temperatures tend to drop suddenly because the elevation of the summit station of the ropeway is 1,350 meters high. It is a good idea to bring a jacket.

＊The illumination will start at 18:30 after September when the sun sets earlier.
