Just a reminder that the Cherry Blossoms are going to be out next month and that Japan will be in all beautiful shades of Pink and White.

First time riding a Waymo in LA and lowkey… it ate 🤯
No driver, no stress, just smooth turns and main-character vibes.
Felt way safer than expected, kinda futuristic, kinda chill.
10/10 would trust the robot again 🤖🛞
Autonomous cars aren’t scary — they’re the future, and LA is already there.

Visiting War Remnants Museum was one of the most emotionally powerful experiences of my time in Vietnam. This was not a place you simply visit—it’s a place you feel. I came to learn, and I left humbled, heavy-hearted, and deeply moved. Walking through the exhibits, I found myself quietly crying, reflecting, and gaining a deeper understanding of the resilience, pain, and strength of the Vietnamese people.

The museum does not sensationalise history; it tells it honestly. Through photographs, testimonies, and preserved artefacts, it forces you to confront the human cost of war—especially on civilians and future generations. As difficult as it was, I’m grateful for the experience. It made me love Vietnam and its people even more, not out of pity, but out of respect for their dignity, compassion, and ability to keep moving forward with grace.

If you are visiting Ho Chi Minh City, the War Remnants Museum is an essential stop. It is confronting, educational, and profoundly human—an experience that stays with you long after you walk back out into the noise of the city.

💩 There’s an app that lets you report poo on a map.

I found out about it while having lunch with John and Ben, mid-conversation about LA’s homelessness crisis.

And yes… people literally drop pins whenever they find poo in public areas. Whether it’s from humans or pets is still unknown. 😂

When I checked Tokyo and Sydney, I didn’t know whether to be impressed or disturbed.

Technology’s wild. What’s the weirdest app you’ve ever seen? 🤔

This is why we should always recognise our passport privilege.

As Australians, we hold one of the world’s most powerful passports — ranked 7th globally in 2025. That tiny booklet opens doors to dozens of countries visa-free, letting us explore the world with ease. But with that freedom comes responsibility.

In the words of the QANTAS anthem, “No matter how far or how wide I roam, I still call Australia home.” And it’s true — we’re a nation of travellers, storytellers, and wanderers. Yet it’s easy to forget that not everyone can move across borders as freely as we do.

Having travelled to 69 nations and over 190 cities, I’ve seen how deeply culture, identity, and privilege intertwine. Being a first-generation immigrant reminds me daily that my right to roam is built on the diplomacy and hard work of those who came before me.

🌿 As we continue to represent Australia abroad, let’s travel with humility, show respect for local customs, and remember that holding a passport is a privilege, not a right.

🇦🇺 We are lucky. We are curious. We are travellers. Let’s continue to make Australia proud — wherever our journeys take us.

Why you should combine a nature trek and custard-pies in Japan!

On this trip, I revisited Watagataki Waterfall (in the majestic Tedori Gorge, Hakusan City) — this stunning 32-meter waterfall that had reopened after major road & flood repairs.

We headed there from the Kanazawa region with friends — Brandon, Keiju and Tatsuya — snapped new shots, walked the stairs (watch yer step on the wet ones!), and soaked in pure wilderness.

Then just minutes away we found a little local shop selling the sweet treat: obanyaki (custard/pancake-pies) in the Ishikawa region. These little gems are a must when you’re exploring outside the major city scene around Kanazawa.

Japan isn’t just Tokyo, Kyoto or Osaka — it’s the quiet falls + sweet treats + countryside roads. So next time you plan your “things to do in Japan” or “Kanazawa day trip” list, make sure you add both:

✨Watch the nature + dessert combo unfold. Because when you mix fresh air and sweet bites? That’s travel done right.

This is why you should always smile and be open to conversations.

On my way back to Ho Chi Minh City, the airport was boiling hot — and a kind Vietnamese couple, Cuong and Rosie, noticed me sweating and offered to lend me their fan. That small act turned into a beautiful friendship.

The next day, they invited me to District 11 for Bánh Cuốn, Vietnamese rice-paper salad, and their favourite Phở spot. We finished the night sitting on street stools, drinking tea, and talking about life — a real glimpse into Vietnam’s local culture and kindness.

Thank you, Cuong and Rosie, for showing me the heart of Vietnam — and for that life-saving fan! 💨💖

📍Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)
✨ Always smile — you never know who you’ll meet.

When the live band plays your favourite song — instant serotonin boost! 🇻
During my trip to Bà Nà Hills in Vietnam, I shouted out my all-time obsession, “SEE TÌNH!” — and guess what? The singer smiled, started singing it, and even did the TikTok dance! 💃✨

Forget the cable car or the Golden Bridge — this moment was the highlight.
Music really is a universal language that connects people anywhere in the world. 🌏💖

🎤 Always request your favourite song — you never know when it’ll turn your trip into an unforgettable story!

We got extra coconut flakes on our avocado & coconut shakes because we’re handsome… but do you know where this place is?! 👀💚 STARRING

This little gem in Da Nang, Vietnam 🇻🇳 completely won our hearts — from the kind staff and the chill vibes to the unforgettable coconut-avocado combo.

Mum was hyped when she saw durian, Brandon couldn’t stop smiling, and I was just soaking in the sound of real Vietnamese chatter that reminded me of Cabramatta back in Sydney.

✨ Sometimes it’s not about finding the fanciest café — it’s about the people who make your day sweeter (literally).

💬 Tag a friend who’d love this spot or drop a pin if you know where it is!

🎥 – because kindness gets you more coconuts and avocados.

✈️ “This is why you should talk with your seat mate — part one.”

For those who truly know me, I am the KING of extroverts. But I was kind of dreading the flight… Asian carriers are known to have very polite flight attendants but that’s it.

Plus I was on my way to Hawaii, being American – making the chances of me meeting a Karen highly likely. 😂 Boy this flight proved me wrong.

I was seated next to this Filipina lady. We both exchanged pleasantries and then after, I initiated the chat. Boy oh boy, we had a lot in common. We were talking that even the flight attendants that walked past thought we were relatives.

The inspiration of meeting your seat mates is that you hear their stories. She was a cancer survivor and showed me pictures. That alone made me teary. We shared so much. The flight attendant, Asayama (if you know her, please comment below 👇) remembered my preferred drink — orange juice.

At the end of the flight, we said goodbye but promised to keep in touch in Japan. As for Asayama, she saw me waiting for my partner in the waiting area and we waved bye!

I enjoyed this flight… and this is why you should talk with your seat mates.
