entually became the most important place for bike manufacturing especially when people around the world started using bikes more recreationally. Times are different now.Manufacturing centers are found in other countries while companies in Japan receive their ideas and products massively without any hesitation. Has the Japanese bicycle industry lost not only their production power but imagination as well? We’ve realized that the reason is based on a lack of understanding through consumption. A radically different market can be seen here in Japan if we tap into our roots: make products by our own hands, increase lines on communication, and use the knowledge that we do have. Simworks has begun taking action to change the system against the trend of mass production. Our goal is to give our clients the highest quality of product and in the end life! We think it is necessary in order to guide the next generation. This is what we stand for and this is our passion we’d like to share with you.

Finally got to visit Allez LA!

私にとってはGSC/ GSC permently closed, but never fogotten. がクローズして以来のLA訪問。ようやくこのお店を訪れることができました。

つい1ヶ月ほど前にオールドロケーションから移転したばかりというお店には、GSCの頃を思い出させるような宝物がちらばっていながらも、今まさに新しく蒔いた種がこれからしっかりと実ろうとしている最中です。

広くなった店内ではセールス・メカニックスタッフみんながフル稼働で忙しくしていて、何より心配だったという空調もしっかり効いていて快適そのもの。

久しぶりの再会はもちろん、新しい出会いもあり、やっぱりGSCでも彼らの強気であったそのコミュニティーハブとしての求心力の強さを改めて垣間見ることができました。

This was my first visit to LA since GSC closed. I was finally able to stop by this shop.

The shop, which had just moved from its old location about a month ago, was dotted with treasures that reminded me of the GSC days, yet it’s also in the midst of seeing the seeds it’s just sown begin to bear fruit.

In the expanded store, the sales and mechanic staff were all hard at work, and—most importantly—the air conditioning, which had been their biggest concern, was working perfectly, making the atmosphere incredibly comfortable.

Not only did we reconnect with old friends, but we also met new people. Once again, We got a glimpse of the strong centripetal force they’ve always had as a community hub—just as they did back at GSC.

Our good friend モレンド・マハラニ and ARI visited Nagoya.🤝

インドネシアのお友達のモレンドとアリが名古屋に遊びに来てくれました。

元々は以前Circles Tokyoのライドに参加してくれたのがきっかけで知り合ったのですが、Doppo Roninに乗ってインドネシアで色んなライドを楽しんでいるモレンドと、SURLY Grapplerに乗るアリの二人はインドネシアのライドコミュニティーを牽引する中心人物。

他にも様々な旅行の計画がある中で名古屋に来る時間を作ってくれたので、ライドや名古屋グルメでしっかりおもてなし。ちょうど名古屋の酷暑が猛威を振るいだしたタイミングでしたが、楽しんでくれたようで何より。二人ともありがとう！次は我々がインドネシアに行く番ですね！

Our friends from Indonesia, Morendo and Ari, came to visit us in Nagoya.

We originally met when they joined a Circles Tokyo ride a while back. Morendo, who rides a Doppo Ronin and enjoys all kinds of rides in Indonesia, and Ali, who rides a SURLY Grappler, are both key figures leading the Indonesian cycling community.

Even though they had various other travel plans, they made time to visit Nagoya, so we made sure to treat them to some great rides and Nagoya’s local delicacies. It happened to be right when Nagoya’s sweltering heat was at its worst, but we are glad they seemed to enjoy themselves—that’s what matters most. Thank you both! Next time, it’s our turn to visit Indonesia!
