The autumn colors of the surrounding grasses
are starting to show🍁

Murodo Plain at an elevation of 2,450 meters.

There are days when it gets chilly
when the wind blows.
If you’re going for a walk,
it’s nice to have a jacket just in case🚶

Does it look like a field of yellow flowers?
At Murodo-daira, the Iwaicho trees are turning yellow.

located on the 2nd floor of the Murodo Terminal,

Latest Fall Foliage Report①

It’s still hot down in the lowlands…
But at Murodo, at an elevation of 2,450 meters,
autumn colors have already arrived.
The Iwaichō trees have begun to turn yellow.

The fall foliage at Murodo,
which begins to change color in September,
gradually moves down to lower-elevation areas
through November, reaching its peak.

The next area to reach its peak—
Tambohira between Daikanbo and Kurobedaira—
is still mostly green overall,
but on this day, a huge rainbow appeared.

And passing right under that rainbow is
the Ropeway!
It feels like you’d be truly happy
if you could ride it at a moment like this🌈

we’ll be bringing you the latest fall foliage report

Is September “Foliage Season”? 🍁🤔❓

Fall on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
comes a step or two earlier than in the lowlands!

Around Murodo Plain and Mikuri Pond at an elevation of 2,450 meters,the leaves start changing color as early as September,and then the fall colors gradually move down the mountain…✨

The fall foliage viewed from the popular Ropeway reaches its peak in early October 🍁
The Kurobe Dam reaches its peak in mid-October 😌

Check out the peak viewing map, and be sure to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage to the fullest 🫶🏻

August 11th is "Mountain Day"!

We welcomed so many visitors today,
all setting out to enjoy Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
in their own unique ways ⛰️💓

We also want to extend a huge thank you
to everyone who participated
in the "Mountain Day Days" event held
at the Murodo Terminal rooftop
from August 8th to 11th!

The beautiful blue of Murodo's Mikurigaike Pond,
the vibrant green of the alpine flora, and
—above all—the refreshing summer sky and clouds ☁️

At Murodo-daira, the alpine flowers at your feet are in full bloom!

Happy Summer!
July 1 marks the “Tateyama Summer Mountain Opening”

At Murodo-daira, as the snow melts,
high-mountain plants such as
Chinguruma(Aleutian avens) and Koiwakagami(Alpine fringed galax) are beginning to bloom 🌱
Be sure to enjoy the flowers at your feet while you’re out for a stroll 🥾

The snow at Mikurigaike Pond has finally melted 90%!
We’re just one step away
from the full-fledged summer mountain season…!
