Welcome to Japan | Tour with my guests in July

I welcomed a lovely family from the U.S!
It's all customized Tour and there are many requests on the list.

Since my long career as a guide, I have some personal connections between artisans, chefs of restaurants and companies. I arranged chopstick making experience at artisan's studio where we could see his amazing wood works, techniques and tools.
My guests chosen 3 different kids of wood to make chopsticks like oak, Japanese Katsura and American teak. All of them were so concentrated to shave it into a perfect form. As American teak was a hard wood, it seemed it was a bit tricky, but they enjoyed.
They made beautiful chopsticks at the end!

Another highlight was visiting TUNA Auction in the early morning in Toyosu market.
We started the tour at 4:30 am and all enjoyed to see fresh raw tuna and frozen tuna auction for about an hour. Then after, we had fresh, delicious Sushi at one of the popular restaurant in Toyosu!
It's Omakase menu, but chef changed a few pieces of sushi flexible depends on my guest's preference if one couldn't eat some.

I got a wonderful thank you letter from my guest and it made my heart so warm. Thank you so much for joining my tour and Domo Arigatou!!

Welcome to Japan | Tour with my guest in June

I'm glad to welcome my guest from India!
I feel the number of individual travelers have been increasing and joined my tour.

We visited off the beaten spots and a few popular tourist destinations for our 3 days in Tokyo.
Some of them are vegetarian, so we had lunch at Izakaya, Japanese curry restaurant and Japanese hamburger shop.
Tokyo has a wide variety of foods, not only the genre but also a range of price. Everything is so fresh, looks good and delicious. Some foods are new for them such as Ocha-zuke, Tsukemono pickles and Tune Yukhoe.

One day, we visited the town of fabric in Tokyo where about 90 shops are gathered along the one street. Among 90 shops, I took them my recommended shop and they enjoy for shopping and purchased some beautiful fabrics for making Sari.

I hope when they make and wear this Sari, they will remember about this Japan Trip!

Welcome to Japan | Tour with my guest in July 2026

Tokyo National Museum Tour with my guest from France!

They are my first guest from France. 10 years old boy is so interested in Japanese calligraphy and ink painting.
I was focusing on catching their interests by asking quiz, showing real some pigments of Japanese painting and giving them to try cultural activity while sharing back ground about these arts.

Most of Japanese paintings and arts are delicate, so often exhibits are changing. We luckily had a chance to see several National Treasures on this day.

Welcome to Japan |Tour with my guest in May 2026

I recently had the absolute pleasure of guiding a wonderful family with children all the way from the United States for a 2-day tour.

My top priority was ensuring the kids had an unforgettable time, so we incorporated plenty of hands-on activities throughout the trip. Naturally, a visit to the vibrant district of Harajuku and a stops at a popular animal café were the absolute highlights for them!

On the second day, I welcomed the family wearing a traditional Japanese Kimono. I shared with them how kimonos were the standard everyday clothing until just 150 years ago. It was a great opportunity to introduce this highly sustainable aspect of Japanese culture—how a single long rectangular piece of cloth, without any buttons or zippers, can be tailored and passed down to fit various generations and sizes.
Thank you so much for choosing my tour!
It was an honor to create these special memories together.

Kamakura Tour!
It's been increasing to get a request for Kamakura Tour in these days.

We visited not only historical sites but also enjoyed the ocean view by driving.
It's beautiful flower season in Japan, nice warm climate. We felt Komorebi, sunlight was filtering throughout the leaves of trees. A breeze past throughout bamboo forest, so comfortable.

Hakone Tour!
I met my guest at Odawara station and headed toward Hakone which is known as a very nice hot spring mountain resort.

I arranged to visit artisan's studio for seeing traditional Hakone wood marquetry called Hakone Yosegi-zaiku. Seeing is believing, it is hard to imagine and understand if you won't see the process. It's definately amazing techniques that has lasted for 200 years.
My guest was so pleased to visit this place and got so many stuff as souvenir.
Of course we enjoyed the view, cruising on Lake Ashi, doing Origami with me!

〈Welcome to Japan - Tour with my guests in February 2026〉
It was a wonderful meeting with my guest from the U. S! Based on their requests, I arranged "Off the beaten spots tour " in Tokyo.
We enjoyed to appreciate early bloomed cherry blossoms, meet local people and town, see traditional fire ritual. I was so glad that I got 2 additional tour requests(Tokyo National Museum Tour and Half-day tour) from my guest after the end of our first day.
I had a great time with them. Thank you so much!

Welcome to Tokyo! It was their first visit to Japan and they stayed for only a few days.
We explored Tokyo as much as possible for 2 days. We started the tour very early morning 4:30 am for visiting Tuna auction in Toyosu market. I included many different aspects of Tokyo in the itinerary such as market, religious places, off the beaten spots, manga and their requested places. Everything fitted in a perfect timing.
Thank you once again, Domo Arigatou Gozaimash*ta!

〈Welcome to Japan -Tour with my guest in January 2026〉

I was so happy to meet my repeat guest as my first tour in 2026! He joined my tour every year and this was the third time. Our first meeting was 2023.
During Japanese new year holidays in 2026, we visited Kawagoe and Tochigi, both places are located outside of Tokyo!

I chosen the local area where are famous among Japanese locals but are not known among many foreign tourists. I arranged to visit Kawagoe Daruma festival which is held only once in a year(only this day!) and Utsunomiya city in Tochigi. There are some historical spots related with Oya stone, many gyoza restaurants and more. It was very enjoyable trip with a local friendly driver.
Thank you for choosing me as your guide again, Domo Arigatou!!

〈Welcome to Japan - Tour with my guest in December 2025〉
I was so glad to meet my repeat customer from the U.S. as my last tour in 2025.

We visited Gunma for a day on the way to Karuizawa in Nagano. It takes about 1 hour by bullet train from Tokyo.

We explored many places where you can see only in Gunma. Local traditional crafts shop & studio, related places for Initial D, Ikaho Onsen and Mt. Haruna driving. Ofcourse, we enjoyed local foods, Mizusawa udon known as one of three most delicious udon in Japan.
I am looking forward to meeting them again in the future! Domo Arigatou!!
