Effective Monday, 3rd August 2026, all containerized cargo destined for Kenya requires an ACD reference code before loading.
Required documents (via acd.kra.go.ke):
1. Draft Bill of Lading
2. Commercial Invoice
3. Freight Invoice
4. Export Declaration
The code must be endorsed on the Bill of Lading before the shipment proceeds to a Kenyan port.
This move is aimed at ensuring faster clearance, better compliance, and smoother supply chains
