On the 26th of July we shall be at Ambassador Kithi Memorial Secondary School in Milore for a talk and Distribution of Sanitary towels to the Girls there. This is after the Headteacher Got Impressed with what we do and she requested us that we should visit them. Manager office of the MP Malindi, Mr. Richard Mitingi, today visited 42 girls who are under the Mche Ima Program at Ganda Center. He was accompanied by Claudia Dhahabu and Maorine Maoni who were able to mentor the girls and also distributed some sanitary towels (s**o) courtesy of our Mum Hon. Aisha Jumwa Katana.

The girls who vary in their age mostly come from humble backgrounds and face challenges including payment of school fees, lack of books and other learning materials, inability to afford sanitary towels and many more challenges which hinder them from achieving their goals. One main case is a girl who completed primary school last year and never went to high school despite her being called to Kakoneni girls.

Despite all these challenges the girls still have some hope in making it in life. May God bless Mche Ima Coordinators, our able MP and may God bless us all so that we can work towards helping the vulnerable in one way or the other.

With the advent of technology, learning has been made cheap. With a click or tap of a button of a computer or smartphone, one can access a wealthy of knowledge, learning materials and learning hubs for free.

Several organizations e.g World Bank, YALI, Eliademy, Plus Acumen, British Council etc, have crafted tailor made online courses which target individuals who lack requisite skills in any field of study especially business courses. The courses popularly known as 'Massive Open Online Courses' (MOOC)- are designed to impart knowledge and skills to any individual who has the desire to learn regardless of their level of education.

In this regard, I therefore challenge everyone to embrace this new learning frontier to enable our people in the villages acquire skills and knowledge for free. This will promote education for all and create a knowledge society.
