For a long time, I was like many Kenyan, complaining. Every day it was the same conversation: “The government this… the government that…” I blamed the system for delays, high costs, and the lack of opportunities. But one day, it hit me, complaining wasn’t moving me forward.

Instead of waiting for things to change, I decided to change my own lane. That’s how the seed for my logistics journey was planted.

I started small, moving shipments for friends and local businesses who, just like me, were frustrated with unreliable services. At first, it was tough, long hours, countless mistakes, and learning on the job. But I discovered something: when you stop pointing fingers and start acting, doors open.

De minimis is a Latin phrase meaning "about minimal things" or "too trivial to matter."
In logistics and customs, it refers to a threshold value under which goods can enter a country duty-free and tax-free, because the amount is considered too small to justify collection costs.
Example:
If the de minimis threshold in a country is USD 800, then any shipment valued at USD 800 or below enters without paying customs duties (though sometimes VAT or other fees may still apply).
Effective August 29, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. EDT, the duty-free de minimis exemption for commercial shipments to the U.S. valued at or below $800 will be removed—regardless of product origin.
