Nestled along the historic East Royal Road that once connected Angkor to Beng Melea, Chaw Srei Vibol stands as a captivating testament to Cambodia's rich heritage. This unique temple site, believed to have been built between the late 11th and 12th centuries, reflects the exquisite art styles of the Baphuon era. Surrounded by a sprawling 1,500-meter-long moat and perched atop a natural 20-meter-high hill, Chaw Srei Vibol offers visitors a glimpse into ancient sophistication. At the base of the hill, remnants of a sturdy laterite wall and imposing entrance pavilions at each cardinal pointp hint at its historic grandeur. Traditionally accessed via a causeway lined with bollards from the east, today, visitors arrive through the western entrance, continuing the site's timeless allure.
