Apsara dancing is a traditional Cambodian classical dance that dates back to the Angkorian period, inspired by the Apsaras—heavenly nymphs or celestial dancers carved into the walls of Angkor Wat and other temples.
It is known for its graceful, slow, and precise movements, with dancers wearing ornate silk costumes, gold headdresses, and elaborate jewelry. Every gesture, hand position, and step in Apsara dance tells a story, often drawn from Hindu and Buddhist mythology.
