BAKAN TEMPLE (Preah Khan kompong svay) is located in bakan Village, Preah Vihear province and approximately 105 kilometer from Angkor. These Temple were But between the half of the 11th century and the beginning of the 14th century. The main culture complex is related to the Angkor Wat style ( first half of the 12th century) with some additional structure and satellite temples related to Bayon style period (end of the 12th and beginning of the 13th century). Except an unfinished Hindu temple built during the first half of the 11th century, monument of the Bakan are mostly related to the Buddism (Mahayana and Theravada).
