Head to eastern Hokkaido for a stunning lavender field by the sea. Located at Okhotsk Sea Ice Park in Monbetsu, this picturesque garden overlooks the coast and features around 12,000 lavender plants consisting of four varieties, including deep purple, white, pink, and Okamurasaki. As of June 30th, the park has officially entered its best viewing period, with peak blooms expected from today through mid-July. The Lavender Festival runs until August 16th, with special events every weekend, including a lavender harvesting experience from July 9–11. Families can also enjoy the large wooden playground, making it a great summer destination.
