One of our warehouses cleared out for Spring cleaning and making extra space for more shipments.

Here are some pallets in various sizes that are wrapped, banded, and prepared to leave from Korea to overseas. These pallets are prepared to go to Europe, in this case England, United Kingdom.

The marking is created to show the port of entry (POE) and delivery destination (city and country) is required along with the client's full name and number of pallets.

Sometimes, a client will require more than 1 pallet, so in this case, the marking is important and needs to be made in order to give a heads up with the delivery agent in charge of the shipment on the other side.

Happy New Year! Clearing out one of our warehouses in Gyeonggi-do, Ilsan. As you can see, we do provide storage at our warehouses with climate-controlled space.

The reduced monthly storage rate is available to our clients only and will apply accordingly based on volume and/or weight of the individual shipment.

After over 1 year of storage with one client, we finally completed his items and household goods last week.

Sometimes, in rare cases, a client will not have a temporary or a long-term storing option, that is why we give storage options at our warehouse in Gyeonggi-do, Ilsan and smaller shipments in Yeongdeung-po, Seoul.

For our established clients who are shipping overseas, we even provide 1-month of free storage at our facilities. Here is one client who stored with us for over a year and as you can see our facilities are climate-controlled and we also have a large warehouse for bigger shipments and individual accounts.

If you require a storage option for short term period and even longer durations, we can assist accordingly.

50 boxes? Here is the loading and stacking process of 50 boxes using 3 pallets for a shared container shipment via LCL (less-than container) load from Korea to overseas (Europe in this case).

We have had countless pallets made and wrapped with the final banding as shown in the photos below, but these three pallets were made with finesse.

As you can see, each pallet is used to stack as many boxes possible from odd shaped to standard-sized boxes. The longer and rectangular shaped boxes are harder to fit on the pallets and ensure that each pallet does not exceed the maximum height and width inside the shared container.

Each pallet is loaded, wrapped with vinyl protection, labelled and marked, and then finally banded to hold all of the boxes in each pallet in place.

Now, this is a new way of making custom-made wood crating or a sturdy box for a special and fragile items.

In the past, we would make a box or a crate made out of a sturdy wood material to protect fragile items like TVs, artwork, glass frames, and monitors without getting the measurements, but now we cater towards making it custom-fit the carton box.

If you see in the photos, the carton box, which is the 1st step in adding protection is measured in order to get the actual wood box dimensions. The final step is the wood crate or box. What a great job done by our staff and the specialty in making the wood box.

20-ft containers or 40-ft containers, groupage, shared, or full containers, we do it all.

From Korea to overseas by boat or vessel, a container can be shipped individually (only 1 shipment) or in a shared container (together with other accounts or shipments).

Here is another 20-ft container prepared, loaded, and filled up individually in one container on its own.

There are pros and cons with shared and full containers, we will mention a few here so you will be more aware of the options.

For a full container, you pay for the whole container yourself that will include the ocean/freight charges, any port/exam related fees at the destination, and only one shipment need to be removed from the container. This option is better if you sending a larger amount or volume that includes furniture, kitchen items, clothes, and etc.

Depending on the country and destination, the shared container can be more affordable since the costs will be divided up among the other clients or shipments going together. This option is overall more affordable for medium sized or small shipments that is more than 200 kg of household goods. The ocean costs and port/exam fees are split among the other shared household goods.

Some clients prefer using the container on their own, but it is good to see if the overall costs and options outweigh the shared container vs the full container if available.

Here we have 3 TVs in one large wood box custom-made for all of them to fit together inside one large crate.

We had a client who requested to have 3 TVS, one 75 inches curved screen TV, 2 flatscreen TVs to be placed inside a wood crate to add extra protection.

As you can see in the photos, here were the step by step process of adding each TV that was packaged in a custom-made carton box already from our packing crew.

All TVs were carefully wrapped with padding material (similar to bubble wrap but thicker toil-on wrapping). Then a carton box was made from scratch since the original box was not available.

Once all 3 TVs were measured, the wooden box was made to fit all of them inside together.

Step by step process of packaging using protective layers of toil-on, foil padding material, and a custom-made carton box for 2 artworks departing from Korea to overseas.

In the first photo, the two artwork were very fragile, so we had to create two layers of protection in between the two artwork, so they wouldn't bump, touch, or grind into each other.

If you look at the 2nd photo, we used a foil padding material (thicker than bubble wrap) to wrap each artwork. Another layer of toil-on (white wrapping) padding then is used around the artwork to give extra protection.

Finally, we make the carton box from scratch to fit the two artwork perfectly inside. In the last photo, we add the final touches with a fragile sticker to ensure that the artworks get to the destination safely without any issues.

A trapezoid or a polygon shaped box? Irregular or long odd shaped boxes, can they fit on a pallet or inside a shared container?

In the photo provided, this is a rare 5 sided polygon shaped box, which was made for odd-shaped couches, chairs, or 1-seater ottoman.

We can also create trapezoid or odd-shaped boxes of all kind as long as we have the carton box material and tape.

For odd-shaped boxes, it is best to put them at the top section of the pallet or inside the shared container, since it will be difficult to add additional boxes on top of them if needed.

As for long boxes that can protrude out like the photo and in the final wrapping of the 2nd pallet, we can arrange it as long as it does not reach the top of the ceiling inside the container.

For future reference, the internal height of a 20-ft or a 40-ft container is around the same and about 2.39 meters in height.

A large flat-screen TV are considered very fragile and nowadays the screen is very thin making it extra delicate to ship Internationally. Using thick wood boards on each side is a very effective way to add extra protection.

We have prepared some photos of adding extra thick wood boards to protect the TV that are ready to be shipped from Korea to abroad.

Nowadays, clients have wondered if a wooden box or crate is necessary to send a TV, which makes the volume, dimension, and weight heavier, costing extra for the 3rd party service.

Instead of using the method of a 3rd party wooden box, we also have the option to add wood boards around the packed TV box before wrapping another layer of a carton-box material around the final box.

The difference on the wood board and a wood crate/box is that the volume and weight is much less than the traditional wooden crate box, which can take up space, volume, and weighs more at the end.

The price is around the same, but the traditional wooden box is considered a little more sturdy. However, based on our experience shipping TVs in both methods, they are both the best way to get it across and the TVs will get to the country safely without any issues or damages.

Happy 2025! We have a lot of shipments going on pallets vs groupage containers, where a pallet is not required and all of the boxes are squeezed together all in one 20 ft or 40 ft container.

Here we have another two pallets and a groupage container prepared and ready to leave from Korea.

We have been receiving questions about why a container is required a pallet and what the difference is in volume and price.

The main difference is the arrangement at the origin and at the destination for making the delivery.

If a pallet is used, the volume increases per pallet with limited amount of boxes places on each pallet, but the delivery arrangement is much easier since they can use a lift-van to load/unload the pallet as it is and arrange a delivery of the pallets.

The groupage container without pallets, the gross volume is per total amount of boxes in the shared container and the delivery is done by loading/unloading each box in individual trucks or vans to make the delivery to each home or destination.

As you can see, there is a difference, some countries will not have a groupage container available, and only LCL (Less-than container) shared containers, which is only accepted on pallets per individual.
To Sum up, pallets are used for LCL shared container and groupage containers will not require a pallet per individual or shipment in the shared container. Both options are reserved in a shared container along with other accounts and/or boxes.

A general question we have is from clients and leads is when shipping boxes, is it based on just weight or volume?

To simply answer the question, any air cargo shipments is based on weight and by boat or vessel, it is based on volume in majority cases.

For air cargo shipments, as you can see in the photo, a scale is used to weigh each box individually. Then, we measure the length x width x height in centimeters (cm) and divide the value by 5,000 to get the dimensional or volumetric weight, which gives us the International standard weight based on the length on each box.

For larger boxes or longer shaped boxes (not the standard boxes), the same applies per box. Usually, the weight can vary based on the scaled weight or dimensional/volumetric weight as mentioned before.

Just to give an example, if a box weighs only 5 kg on the scaled weight, the dimensional weight could come out to 20 kg or even more. Vice versa, a box could be measured only 10 kg in dimensions, but weigh more than 30 kg on one box.

As a result, the higher valued box is the weight per box and then this applies for all of the other boxes to get the total gross weight.

We recommend only sending via air cargo, if the total weight is less than 150 kg or 200 kg for certain countries and basing it on the per kg weight cost as it can vary per destination and country.

In this account, we sent over 10 boxes, and the weight was a bit more than the recommended total weight. However, the pro side and if you are willing to pay a bit more is that air cargo shipments are much faster in the whole transit and delivery process (around 4 - 7 business days depending on the city and country).
