This was the view on our first night in Lapland! Yes, minor jetlag and stark contrast in climate from Cayman, but determined to fully immerse myself in this famous natural phenomenon, I quickly installed various applications and eagerly anticipated its grandeur ... And what a beautiful and crisp night it was, the temperature dropped to a bone-chilling -18°C, creating a mesmerizing backdrop. And then, at precisely 1:56 am, the breathtaking spectacle of the Northern Lights began to sway gracefully in the sky.

Naturally, I accompanied this magnificent sight with a glass of red wine.

I’m absolutely thrilled to be sharing these unforgettable and unique experiences with our cherished clients at Barefoot Journeys. It’s not just about visiting places; it’s about immersing oneself in the beauty, culture, and wonder of these incredible destinations. Over the next few days I will be posting a more detailed review of everything we experienced, so stay tuned! ⁠
