Tuesday can only mean one thing! Time for Top Travel Tip Tuesday! This one may catch a few people out...! Planning on visiting Barbados...? Did you know...

It is strictly illegal to wear or carry anything with a camouflage pattern in Barbados. This ban applies to both adults and children, and covers all camo items, including clothing, bags, phone cases, and accessories. Violators can face fines or confiscation of the items. To have your Camo shorts confiscated would probably be more embarrassing!

To ensure you stay compliant with local laws while visiting the island, keep these rules in mind:

All Colors Included: The ban covers the pattern itself, regardless of the color.

Accessories Count: Leave behind camo-patterned backpacks, hats, wallets, and even luggage at home.

Local Policy: The law reserves camouflage exclusively for the Barbados Defence Force so that regular citizens are not mistaken for military personnel.

Safe Alternatives: Plain, non-patterned clothing—such as khaki or solid-colored greens—is perfectly acceptable.
