These days, the Khmu people are joyfully celebrating their rich traditional culture, showcasing a beautiful blend of customs that have been passed down through generations. The event features the famous Khmu rice wine jar, which is often shared among family and friends as a symbol of unity and hospitality. People dress in their traditional Khmu clothing, adding vibrant color and meaning to the celebration. Alongside this, a variety of cultural foods are prepared, including fruits, sweet rice rolls wrapped in banana leaves, pumpkin dishes, and other local specialties. Traditional Khmu activities, dances, and rituals are also performed, reflecting the deep connection the community has with nature and their ancestors. Today, Ban Lak Pad in Luang Prabang is proudly joining in this cultural celebration, bringing the community together to honor their heritage and share their unique traditions with visitors and younger generations.
