Connecting with the next generation of logistics professionals at NSBM! ✨

WiLAT Sri Lanka successfully conducted a Membership Drive at NSBM Green University, together with CILT Sri Lanka and NextGen CILT Sri Lanka.
The session was a great opportunity to connect with students, introduce them to the CILT community, and highlight the value of professional membership, networking and career development.

Connecting with the next generation of logistics professionals at DockFest ’26!

The CILT Sri Lanka and WiLAT Sri Lanka Executive Committee members were pleased to join DockFest ’26, hosted by The Logistics Club of the SLIIT Business School on 1st October 2026.

Adding to the programme, Prof. H. R. Pasindu, President of CILT Sri Lanka, participated in an engaging panel discussion under the theme “Beyond Boundaries, Towards Tomorrow.” The discussion brought together perspectives on the evolving logistics landscape, emerging opportunities and the future of the industry.

With its focus on knowledge exchange, industry engagement and future-oriented thinking, DockFest ’26 provided a valuable platform for students and professionals to connect, learn and explore the possibilities beyond the boundaries of today’s logistics industry.

A special appreciation to The Logistics Club of SLIIT Business School for bringing together students, professionals and industry leaders. Connecting the CILT community with the next generation of supply chain professionals at CINEC Supply Chain Day 2026!✨

As part of the event, CILT Sri Lanka hosted an engaging panel discussion featuring Prof. H.R. Pasindu, President of CILT Sri Lanka & Professor in Civil Engineering at University of Moratuwa; Prashani Liyanage, VP – Membership Development at WiLAT Sri Lanka; Dhanushka Jeyasinghe, CILT Sri Lanka Council Member; and Dr. Nalaka Jayantha, President of NextGen CILT Sri Lanka. The session was moderated by Givantha A, VP – Membership Development at CILT Sri Lanka and Council Member, bringing together perspectives on careers, professional development and the evolving supply chain landscape.

The event also provided a valuable platform for CILT Sri Lanka to conduct a Membership Drive and Networking Session, connecting with students, professionals and aspiring supply chain leaders while sharing the value of being part of the CILT community.

A special appreciation to Prof. Lalith Edirisinghe, CILT Council Member and Dean, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences at CINEC Campus, for his support in creating a platform that brings academia and industry closer together.

Celebrating Our Star of WiLAT 2026 ⭐

WiLAT Sri Lanka is incredibly proud to celebrate Indeewari Chandrasekara, MILT, on receiving the prestigious Star of WiLAT Award 2026 at the CILT International Convention 2026, held in Hong Kong.

As an Executive Committee Member of WiLAT Sri Lanka, Indeewari has made a valuable contribution to the growth and development of our network since 2018. At WiLAT, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to nurturing future talent and creating opportunities for young professionals.

Her journey from being a mentee in the WiLAT SL Flagship IGNITE Mentoring Programme in 2018 to becoming the Project Chair of the same platform during 2025/2026 is a true reflection of her dedication to continuous professional development, leadership, and giving back to the community.

Through her leadership of IGNITE 11, WiLAT Sri Lanka successfully secured strategic industry partnerships to provide internship opportunities for IGNITE mentees. This demonstrates her ability to bring people together, inspire emerging professionals, and create meaningful experiences for the next generation of the logistics industry.

Her contributions to the Global WiLAT fraternity as the former Editor of Wings of Change, and to CILT Sri Lanka as the former Editor of Link Magazine and Project Chair of the Ideathon, held virtually during COVID-19 with international participation, have made a remarkable impact across the membership and the industry.

A graduate and Gold Medalist of the University of Moratuwa, Indeewari currently serves as Unit Supply Chain Manager at Unilever Sri Lanka, contributing to the development, sustainability, and transformation of the supply chain and logistics industry.
