⚓ Courtesy Meeting with the Newly Appointed DGMS

The Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA) welcomes the newly appointed Director General of Merchant Shipping (DGMS), Mr. R. P. Jinesh Rajapaksha.

A courtesy meeting was held on Thursday, 6 August 2026, at the Merchant Shipping Secretariat, providing an opportunity to exchange views on the Sri Lankan maritime industry and discuss areas of mutual interest and continued collaboration.

CASA looks forward to working closely with the DGMS and the Merchant Shipping Secretariat in supporting the continued development, efficiency and competitiveness of Sri Lanka’s maritime sector.

Officials from CASA met the newly appointed Chairman of the SLPA, Dr Parakrama Dissanayake along with other SLPA officials on the 3rd of March 2026, engaging in constructive discussions on collaborations and the future development of Sri Lanka’s Maritime and port sector.

On the 30th of January 2026 CASA made a visit to SAGT. The purpose of the meeting is to pay a courtesy call on Mr. Knudsen (newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, SAGT) following his assumption of office, to formally introduce the Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents (CASA), and to engage in a brief discussion on matters of mutual interest.
