M.F.A Clearing & Forwarding (PVT) LTD was founded by Late Alhaj Mohamed Fairoze Amirdeen in the year 1967 as a sole proprietorship organization at No. 38, Hospital Street, Colombo 01. Alhaj M.F. Amirdeen was not only a businessman of experience and knowledge put played a key role in bringing about inter communal amity. Clearing & Forwarding (PVT) LTD has built the Companies image and portfolio to
be recognized as a key player in the clearing and forwarding industry in Sri Lanka. The dedication and experience of its employees is the main reason for the Company’s success. The Staff’s credentials as a highly capable and experienced sea and air clearing and forwarding and transporting of general cargo go back almost 49 years. This wealth of experience has earned the Company a well deserved reputation as a highly professional and reliable clearing and forwarding Company amongst the public and private sector. During the lifetime of Alhaj M.F. Amirdeen, he appointed R.M. Shafeek, Malik Amirdeen, A. Naushad Amirdeen and Sharan Lafir as directors and gave the responsibility of the post of Managing Director to R.M. Shafeek who contributed in many ways to the upliftment of the company. The children in following the footstep of their father have made great strides in taking M.F.A. Clearing & Forwarding (PVT) Ltd to its present position. In the past years, the company had the privilege of the services of late J.R.S. Leiton, former Director of Customs as a Consultant, whilst Alhaj M.H. Arifeen, J.P. Waidyathilleke and U.D. Aluthge contributed over 30 years of services toward its purpose. Speaking to Daily Mirror the Managing Director of the company R.M.Shafeek had this to say, “We are a clearing and forwarding Company with 45 years of excellence in Service. Fifty of the approximately over thousand hundred clearing agents in Sri Lanka have been presented with this award for exemplary service.
