Shopping services, though highly popular in foreign countries, have not taken up root within Sri Lanka, due to implementation difficulties. The differentiation between other services available and this particular service is that it will cater to more daily needs and will be focused on supplying goods from vendors at the selling price it currently is being stated plus a service charge for the deliv
ery and shopping facility. There will be no selected vendors (at least during initial stages) so that it will help to increase the customer base. Customers will be given the opportunity to list out their shopping list which will then be delivered to their doorsteps. Customers can name specific brands, quantities, secondary preferences etc in this shopping list. The range of products under consideration would be:
• Daily grocery items
• Clothes (measurements would be required)
• Stationery (for example: school book lists)
• Books/Music
These would be very simple, daily needs, which take a considerably long time to purchase. The idea is to free our prospective clients with the burden of having to tire themselves with these tasks as well to provide them more time to spend in rest and relaxation.
