SLFFA Cargo Services Limited, is a Public Company (not quoted) a consortium of 20 Companies, a venture involving some of the leading Blue Chip Companies, International Freight Forwarding Companies and purely local Freight Forwarding Companies, which began business in August 1994 at the Bandaranaike International Airport, occupying about 25,000 sq ft of space. The main activity so far has been the

facilitation of cargo received by Air in bulk, to ensure speed and efficiency in issue to consignees. It has been the objective of the Company to meet the ICAO “Recommended practice” of processing cargo through the terminal within a maximum period of 4 hours from the time of receipt of cargo by air, thereby minimizing cargo dwell time at the airport. The Company has a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency of release of goods, appreciated by satisfied customers. Several free trade organizations, particularly those importing textiles to manufacture garments, have found our facility useful. The Company system of receipt and delivery of cargo operate in a “state of the art” web based environment.

Dear All,

We are pleased to inform our valuable trade partners that SLFFA CS has made a substantial investment by expanding the awning area with an addition of 3200 sq/ft of our air-side warehouse facility in Air Cargo Village, Katunayake.

This addition will enhance our capacity to handle/store higher volumes of import cargo transferred by members of SLFFA.

We have further enhanced our efficiency and resources by adding another Electric Forklift to the current fleet of five in operation to enhance service standards in our Terminal in keeping our promise of continuous improvement.

These investments will not only improve our service standards which we always aim to provide to our customers but also proves our commitment in keeping the environment safe , supporting Green policy of the Company by way of reducing the use of Diesel powered equipment.

Further it is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr Gazzali Arifeen of EFL as a Director of SLFFA CS.

Your continuous support will encourage us to make further improvements in our facility.
