📦 Why Packaging Combination Matters

Use the right strength in the right place

Many businesses assume stronger packaging everywhere means better protection. But in reality, the combination matters more than the strength alone.

🔍 Real Example
An apparel exporter used:

• 7-ply cartons as outer packaging
• 5-ply boxes for inner packing

The result:
Higher packaging cost, increased weight, and no real improvement in protection.

After review:
• Outer carton remained 7-ply (for stacking and transport strength)
• Inner packaging was changed to 3-ply

The result:
• Reduced packaging cost
• Easier handling
• Same level of product protection

✅ Key Insight
• Outer packaging handles load and stacking pressure
• Inner packaging only needs to organize and support the product

Using high strength in both layers is often unnecessary.

⚠️ Why It Matters
Wrong combinations lead to:

• Extra cost without benefit
• Increased weight and transport inefficiency
• Overuse of material

✔️ Final Thought
Good packaging is not about using more material.
