CAPTAIN WANTED — Brand New Fountaine Pajot THIRA 80 Sailing Catamaran ⚓
We are seeking an experienced captain to take command of a brand-new Fountaine Pajot THIRA 80 sailing catamaran, cruising exclusively for private use in the Mediterranean.
Position details:
Yacht: Fountaine Pajot THIRA 80 sailing catamaran, new build
Cruising area: Mediterranean, with frequent and regular navigation — extended cruises of several weeks expected
Use: Private only — no charter
Crew: 3 permanent crew members (Captain, Deckhand, Stewardess)
Start date: March 2027
Salary: Competitive, to be discussed based on experience
Candidate profile:
Valid captain's license, appropriate to vessel tonnage (Master 200GT/500GT or equivalent)
Proven sailing experience, ideally on sailing catamarans
Strong knowledge of the Mediterranean cruising region
Comfortable with an active cruising schedule and extended time underway
Good command of English / Conversational French required
Team leadership skills — able to manage a small crew of 3
Professionalism and discretion suited to private yachting
Experience with new-build commissioning is an asset
