A new milestone for accessibility at lux-Airport! ✈️

Today, we officially inaugurated our new Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRM) room, designed to provide a welcoming, comfortable and inclusive space for passengers with disabilities and anyone requiring assistance, whether travelling independently or with support.

This project is the result of a fantastic collaboration with our partners who helped us create a space that truly meets the needs of travellers with reduced mobility or seeking for assistance.

We were delighted to celebrate this special occasion alongside Yuriko Backes, Minister for Mobility and Public Works, and Max Hahn, Minister for Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees, as well as all the partners who contributed to making this project a reality.

At lux-Airport, we believe that everyone deserves an accessible and enjoyable travel experience. This new facility is another step towards building an airport that welcomes everyone.

Giving forgotten items a second life 💙

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise to lux-Airport to collect unclaimed Lost & Found items dating back to 2021. Instead of remaining in storage, these items will now begin a new chapter, supporting those who need them most.

A heartfelt thank you to our colleagues Vanessa and Marine and all lux-Airport teams that contributed for the success of this initiative. A special thank you to Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise for their valued partnership and commitment.

Giving unclaimed belongings a second life is a simple reminder that even small actions can have a meaningful impact.

🌅 An early start for a shared commitment to safety

On 8 July at 03:45 a.m., 25 employees from lux-Airport and our partner organisations gathered on Runway 24 for a FOD Walk— a safety initiative led by lux-Airport to support safe airport operations.

By walking the runway to identify and remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD), participants helped reduce the risks posed by foreign objects on movement areas while reinforcing our shared safety culture.

The small amount of FOD collected confirms the excellent condition of our runway and reflects the daily dedication of our operational teams.

💙 This initiative demonstrates that safety is a shared responsibility embraced by the entire airport community.

👏 A sincere thank you to everyone who participated, as well as to ANA and Luxair Services for their commitment and presence. Special thanks to Luxair Services for supporting the organisation of this initiative.
