🚐πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ New Video Out Now!
After crossing back into Spain, it was time to get the van ready for its ITV inspection. What I thought would be a straightforward test quickly turned into a repair job when I discovered the indicator switch needed replacing before I could even think about passing! πŸ˜¬πŸ”§
In this video, I show the entire repair process and take you through a step-by-step guide to replacing the indicator switch. If you're facing the same problem, you can jump straight to the tutorial at 9:49. πŸ› οΈβš™οΈ

As if that wasn't enough excitement, I also get to unbox an incredible surpriseβ€”a brand-new GoPro generously gifted by one of my amazing subscribers! πŸŽπŸ“Έ Thank you so much for the support; it truly means the world and helps keep these adventures going. ❀️
Now the repairs are done, but the big question remains... will the van pass its ITV inspection? πŸ€”πŸš¦

After six unforgettable months exploring Morocco πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦, it's time to continue the journey north.

In this video, I drive from Mehdia 🚐 through the breathtaking Rif Mountains ⛰️ to Chefchaouen πŸ’™, Morocco's famous Blue City, before continuing on to Tetouan and finally Ceuta 🌍 β€” the gateway between Africa and Europe.

Along the way, I reflect on the last six months, the experiences that have shaped this chapter of the adventure, and what comes next. After having the van repainted in Morocco 🎨🚐, I'm also starting to seriously consider whether it's time to sell it and begin a completely new adventure. πŸ€”βœ¨ Nothing has been decided yet, but it's a question that's been on my mind as this chapter draws to a close.

Join me for stunning mountain roads πŸ›£οΈ, ever-changing landscapes πŸŒ„, and some honest thoughts about travel, change, and the road ahead.

If you've enjoyed following the Morocco journey, thank you for coming along for the ride. Your support, comments, and encouragement have meant more than you know. πŸ™πŸ˜Š

Here’s a Facebook post version that’s more engaging and optimized for social media:

🚐🌊 Cruising Morocco’s Atlantic coast in my classic VW T3 β€” from El Jadida to Skhirat πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦βœ¨

This road trip was all about slow travel, ocean views, quiet coastal roads, and the incredible people I met along the way ❀️

Passing through Azemmour, Tamaris, and Mohammedia, I experienced the kind of kindness that makes travel unforgettable. One moment that really stayed with me was in Tamaris, when I was stuck without cash and needed to top up my phone β€” a complete stranger stepped in and paid for it without hesitation πŸ™

Later near Mohammedia, another local surprised me with a homemade salad πŸ₯— Totally unexpected, and another reminder of how warm and welcoming people in Morocco can be.

Sometimes it’s not the destinations that make a journey special β€” it’s the people you meet along the way ✨

Expect:
πŸŒ… Beautiful seaside scenery
🚐 Classic VW T3 van life vibes
🌍 Everyday life in coastal Morocco
🀝 Genuine local hospitality
πŸ›£οΈ Peaceful slow-travel moments

Thanks for coming along for the adventure πŸ™Œ

Today’s slow start turned into an unexpected highlight in Azemmour πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦βœ¨

What was meant to be a quick stop became a beautiful walk through history, from the old Portuguese fort built in 1513 πŸ°βš“ to the colourful street art hidden around every corner 🎨

The mix of ancient walls, quiet streets and modern creativity gave this coastal town such a unique atmosphere ❀️

Four months living by the ocean in Aourir, Morocco πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦πŸŒŠ slowly turned into something much more than just a stop along the road. What began as a short break became a whole season of surf sessions, slow mornings, mountain views, and a simple routine that started to feel like home.
But the road always moves forward πŸšβ¬†οΈ

In this new episode, I pack up camp, say goodbye to Aourir, and continue north along Morocco’s Atlantic coastline β€” chasing quiet roads, coastal villages, and whatever comes next.

Vanlife isn’t always about moving fast. Sometimes it’s about staying long enough for a place to leave its mark before turning the key and driving on.

After 17 long weeks rebuilding my classic Volkswagen Transporter T3 in a small local garage in Aourir, I wanted to share the full reality of the project πŸšπŸ”§πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦

This isn’t just a rebuild montage β€” it’s a full breakdown of what actually happened during the restoration: the lessons learned, total costs, each stage of the build, what went wrong, what surprised me, and how long it really took β³πŸ’Έ

Over those 17 weeks, the van went through major mechanical work, problem-solving, delays, unexpected repairs, and the constant challenge of sourcing parts locally in Morocco. There were plenty of moments where I genuinely questioned whether the project was worth continuing πŸ˜…
Step by step, though, the T3 slowly came back to life.

In this video I talk honestly about:
- The full rebuild timeline
- The biggest challenges along the way
- Labour and parts costs
- Mistakes I made during the process
- What I’d do differently next time
- What it’s really like rebuilding a classic VW abroad with limited tools and resources πŸŒβš™οΈ

If you’re thinking about restoring a classic VW, travelling long-term in an old van, or taking on a big mechanical project yourself, I hope this gives you a realistic idea of what to expect πŸ™Œ
One of the biggest lessons from this build is that projects like this always take longer, cost more, and test you more than you expect… but they can also become some of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have ❀️
Huge respect to the mechanics and locals in Aourir who helped keep this project moving πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦
Thanks for watching and supporting the journey 🚐✨

17-week restoration of my VW T3 in a Moroccan garage πŸšπŸ”§πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦
From worn-out to road-ready β€” this journey was full of challenges, patience, and serious transformation. Not your average build, but definitely worth it.

7:30pm flight… 100DH in my pocket… and no bus that could get me there in time πŸ˜…βœˆοΈ

So I did the only thing that made sense β€” I hitchhiked from Aourir to Essaouira πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦

No plan, no guarantees. Just jumping into random cars πŸš—, hopping in cheap local taxis πŸš•, and trusting the journey. It turned into one of those unpredictable travel days that could either go perfectly… or completely fall apart πŸ‘€

Along the way: amazing coastal views 🌊, kind strangers πŸ™Œ, and a constant race against the clock ⏳

Did I actually make my flight on time? You’ll have to watch to find out πŸ‘‡

🚐 **Part 10 of 10 β€” The Final Chapter**

What started as a tired old 1982 VW T3 has become something completely different. This is the last episode in my transformation series, filmed in the coastal town of Aourir, where long days, problem-solving, and a lot of persistence finally brought everything together at Garage Dorf.

From setbacks to breakthroughs, this project pushed me in ways I didn’t expect β€” and this final part shows the result of it all.

If you’ve followed the journey, thank you. And if you’re just joining, now’s the perfect time to see how it all ends.
