A slow day of van life at Turkeyโ€™s BEST beach park-up ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš๐ŸŒŠ

Honestlyโ€ฆ how are we supposed to leave this place?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

We woke up with towering mountains behind Frank and crystal-clear turquoise water just metres from our front door. Safe to say, we werenโ€™t moving anywhere today. ๐Ÿ˜

The day consisted of snorkelling, swimming and soaking up the Turkish sunshine before heading out for a cheeky kebab. ๐Ÿฅ™

Then it was straight back into the water for even more snorkellingโ€ฆ where we somehow managed to spot an OCTOPUS hiding beneath us! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคฏ

And obviously, after all that excitement we needed to refuelโ€ฆ

With another kebab. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฅ™

Van life took us to Turkeyโ€™s BEST beach park-upโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš๐ŸŒŠ

We hit the road again today with one mission - find an even better beach park-up. ๐Ÿ‘€

First stop was a local Turkish fruit and veg market to stock Frank up with fresh supplies, before following the coast through some absolutely incredible scenery. ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฅ’

And eventuallyโ€ฆ we struck gold. ๐Ÿ˜

Crystal-clear turquoise water just metres from the van, an insane view from our front door and pretty much the perfect place to call home for the night.

Then it was back to Frank for a steak and cheese which got absolutely SCRANNED. ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜‚

A slow day of van life at another unreal Turkish beach park-up ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš๐ŸŒŠ

We woke up metres from the sea and spent pretty much the entire day swimming, floating and soaking up the sunshine in crystal-clear water. ๐Ÿ’™

Back at Frank, we whipped up a cold banana smoothie before I decided to get my bake on and somehow managed to make a fresh sponge cake in the van. ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿคฃ

And because apparently we hadnโ€™t eaten enoughโ€ฆ there was only one acceptable way to finish the day.

Kebab. Obviously. ๐Ÿฅ™๐Ÿ˜

We found an ancient city almost 3,000 years old in Turkeyโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท

We spent the morning exploring the ancient city of Iasos, where Greek settlers are believed to have established a colony around 900 BC - but archaeological discoveries here date all the way back to the Bronze Age, around 3000 BC. ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

We wandered through the ancient ruins before climbing to the top of the old hill fort, where we were rewarded with incredible panoramic views across the turquoise Turkish coastline. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜

Thousands of years of history just sitting there waiting to be exploredโ€ฆ and places like this are exactly why we love travelling overland. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿค

This traditional Turkish food is INSANE ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท

We finally tried pide for the first time on our Turkey road tripโ€ฆ and WHY have we waited this long?! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜‚

Freshly baked dough, loaded with toppings and straight out of the oven - simple but absolutely delicious. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Safe to say this definitely wonโ€™t be our last oneโ€ฆ Turkey continues to smash it with the food! ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿค

A realistic day of van life exploring Turkey ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš

Today we swapped the beach for a bit of history, heading out to explore the ancient city of Iassos and wandering through ruins that have stood here for thousands of years. ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

After working up an appetite, it was time for our first proper traditional pide before heading into Bodrum to explore the local market. ๐Ÿฅ™๐Ÿ›๏ธ

With Frank stocked up, we hit the road again and pushed further along the Turkish coast in search of somewhere to spend the nightโ€ฆ

And letโ€™s just say we found another unreal beach park-up. ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒŠ

We didnโ€™t show you much of this one today thoughโ€ฆ youโ€™ll have to wait until tomorrow. ๐Ÿคซ

A slow day of van life in a Turkish cove ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš

Some days on the road are for exploringโ€ฆ and some are for doing absolutely nothing. ๐Ÿ˜‚

We spent the day soaking up the Turkish sunshine, swimming in the crystal-clear sea and, most importantly, scranning kebabs by the water. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฅ™

Then the sun started to disappear, creating the most incredible glow across the horizon. ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ˜

So naturallyโ€ฆ we scranned another kebab. ๐Ÿคฃ

Sun, sea, sunsets and questionable amounts of kebab.

Turkey is treating us well. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿค

Turkish beach park-ups are actually insaneโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš๐ŸŒŠ

After an amazing few days on the ร‡eลŸme Peninsula, it was finally time to pack up and find our next little slice of paradise.

We stocked Frank up with supplies, topped up our water and hit the road in search of another beach park-up.

And Turkey delivered AGAIN. ๐Ÿคฏ

We found a stunning little cove where we could park right by the crystal-clear water, so naturally the rest of the afternoon was spent swimming, sea dipping and doing absolutely nothing. ๐Ÿ’™

Then, just when we thought the spot couldnโ€™t get any better, we were treated to the most beautiful sunset over the water. ๐ŸŒ…

This is exactly why we built the van. ๐Ÿค

Living in a van in Turkey is next level ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš

We started the morning by rolling out of Frank and floating around in the crystal-clear seaโ€ฆ not a bad way to wake up. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜‚

After whipping up a stir fry for lunch, we heard someone playing a trumpet nearby. Next thing we knew, a local had wandered over and was giving us our own private trumpet concert outside the van. ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿคฃ Honestly, the best welcome to Turkey yet!

Later, we walked into the local shops before spotting a guy whose motortrike had got completely stuck in the stones โ€” so we jumped in to help get him moving again. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Back at Frank, we finished the day with homemade beef fried rice and curry sauce as another day on the Turkish coast came to an end. ๐Ÿ˜

Weโ€™re only a few days into Turkey and already absolutely loving it. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿค

How we stay connected while living in our van in Turkey ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿš

Staying connected on the road is essential for us - from finding park-ups and navigating to uploading our daily videos and keeping you guys updated.

When we arrived in Turkey, we looked into getting a local tourist SIM but found it was around ยฃ28 for just 20GB of data. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

With the amount of content we upload, 20GB wouldnโ€™t last us very long at all! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Instead, weโ€™ve gone with a Holafly eSIM, which gives us unlimited data without needing to find a SIM shop or swap out our physical SIM cards. ๐Ÿ“ฒ

We simply set it up on our phones and were connected ready to explore Turkey. ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿš
