Have you heard that across Moldova, visitors can explore dozens of wineries, from small family-run estates to large historic producers? Many of these wineries feature impressive underground wine cellars, a hallmark of Moldovan winemaking. These cellars are often carved into limestone and extend for kilometers beneath the surface, providing ideal conditions for storing and aging wine.
Among Moldova’s most famous wine attractions is Mileștii Mici, which holds a place in the Guinness World Records for having the largest wine collection in the world. Its underground galleries stretch for over 200 kilometers, though only a portion is currently in use. Inside, visitors will find millions of bottles carefully stored in optimal conditions, along with tasting rooms and even underground streets named after different types of wine.
Book a visit to the winery with us and have a nice tasting party in an underground city of wine bottles.
