Look Mongolia Travel Group and its tour operating company, Steppe Nomad LLC, have completed the renovation and enhancement of the protective fence surrounding the Bayanzurkh Deer Stone Complex, an important archaeological and cultural heritage site located on the southern slope of Ulaan Davaa Pass in the Altai Mountains, near the headwaters of the Bodonch River in Möst Soum, Khovd Province.

As part of this initiative, a new bilingual information board in both Mongolian and English was designed and installed, providing visitors with detailed information about the Bayanzurkh Complex, which features an exceptional concentration of deer stones and khirigsuurs (Bronze Age burial monuments). Through these improvements, we aim to help preserve this remarkable heritage site while promoting it as a meaningful cultural and tourism destination.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Citizens’ Representative Khural and Governor’s Office of Möst Soum, as well as distinguished archaeologists Professor Dr. Ts. Turbat and G. Enkhbayar, for their invaluable cooperation, guidance, and support throughout the project.

We believe this initiative will contribute to safeguarding Mongolia’s cultural heritage for future generations, inspiring Mongolians to take pride in the legacy of their ancestors while enabling visitors from around the world to discover and appreciate the richness of Mongolia’s ancient civilization and nomadic heritage.
