Today marks a significant milestone for Gan Airport, with the official laying of the foundation stone for the Gan Masjid Complex.

The auspicious ceremony was led by the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, alongside the Order of Distinguished Rule of Muleege, Hon. Mohamed Salih. The occasion was further distinguished by the presence of the Mayor of Addu City, Mr. Ali Nizar, and special guest Hon. Abdullah Kamaldeen.

This important community initiative is made possible through the generous support of Hon. Mohamed Salih. We extend our sincere appreciation to him and the entire family of Hon. Salih for their remarkable contribution and commitment.

The thoughtfully designed multi-story complex will include two prayer halls, a multipurpose event space, office facilities, and a dedicated parking area - creating a welcoming environment for both worship and community engagement.

Once completed, the Gan Masjid Complex will stand as a meaningful and lasting addition to the Gan International Airport and Addu City’s landscape, serving the community for generations to come.
