Planning a Disney World vacation in 2027? 🏰

If your travel dates are flexible, these are the windows I’d start with based on historical crowd trends, pricing, weather, holidays, and seasonal events.

✨ Jan. 25–Feb. 4 – Cooler weather and typically lighter crowds after the holiday rush.

✨ May 17–26 – Before most schools are out for summer.

✨ Aug. 16–31 – Historically lighter crowds if you don’t mind the heat.

✨ September – Great time for lower crowds, Halloween festivities, and the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

✨ Nov. 29–Dec. 3 – Christmas decorations are up, holiday entertainment is in full swing, and crowds are often lower than Thanksgiving week.

These recommendations are based on historical patterns, but the best week for your family depends on your budget, school schedule, and priorities.

Here’s one of our favorite Disney Christmas traditions. ❤️🎄

If you’re visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays, I always encourage my clients to make time for EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional.

This special performance features a celebrity narrator telling the Christmas story alongside a live orchestra and mass choir. Celebrity narrators rotate throughout the holiday season, and last year we were lucky enough to see Jordan Fisher.

If this is on your must-do list, I recommend booking a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. It includes a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant and reserved seating for one of the performances.

✨ One tip that surprised us: Reserved seating guarantees you’ll have a seat, but not where you’ll sit. For popular narrators, guests often begin lining up well before showtime to get the best seats in the reserved section. We noticed the reserved seating line starting to form about two hours before the show, so we joined it and ended up with amazing seats.

It ended up being one of our favorite memories from our Christmas trip… even though both of our kids slept through the entire performance. 😂
