**DOWNLOAD YOUR APP**

Fly Safe is the new mobile app and web platform of the Mexican airline industry that controls health risks at airports and airplanes. It is a way to protect yourself and your companions from CoViD-19 and other risks before, during and after flying.

**You can download it like any other app. When you open it, you will receive initial information, clarifications on the protection of personal data as it is mandatory according to government’s regulations and a request to register your minimum personal data. All your information is confidential and protected by law.

What is the Obligatory Health Questionnaire for?
Like in any other country, Mexico established a Health Questionnaire to enter the airport and board your aircraft. At the end of the four sections of the questionnaire, a personal QR Code and a green or yellow sign will be generated. If your personal QR Code is green, you can immediately access the security check at the airport. If you or any of your travel companions gets a yellow QR Code, you must go to the security filter and undergo a face-to-face examination by an authorized doctor. This doctor will define if he allows your access to the plane or not, due to risk of infection.

**Only passengers on national or international flights departing from Mexican airports must complete the Health Questionnaire via WEB or the Vuela Seguro App.
Every passenger with a seat number boarding an airplane in México must complete one, regardless of nationality or age

After the CDC issued a statement in late November warning Americans against all travel to Mexico due to a rise in total number of COVID-19 cases, it was encouraging to read that U.S. Ambassador Christopher Landau said on Wednesday, December 9, during a culture and tourism event that he’s seen how seriously restaurants, hotels and other tourism-related businesses take Covid safety protocols and that it gives him confidence that tourists can continue safely traveling in Mexico. The headline this morning read: “Traveling in Mexico is safe during the coronavirus pandemic if one follows sanitary protocols established by the destination where one travels, says the United States ambassador to Mexico.”

Ambassador Landau has been a strong promoter of tourism in Mexico and in a recent interview with a major newspaper said: “The most important thing is to stabilize the industry. I have been able to determine firsthand that by following health protocols, it’s possible to go — it’s important to go. Mental health is an important part of overall health. One can’t be confined at home month after month after month.” The ambassador spoke of the tourism potential of Mexico and said; “I congratulate the tourism sector for its spirit of responsibility. I understand very well that if there are outbreaks associated with tourism, that is going to affect them a lot. What I have seen is that they are managing a very difficult situation quite well,” he said.

And of all the places that have managed the situation well, Los Cabos has been an example for other tourist destinations for maintaining very proactive in its communications with consumers and commercial partners alike. So, in case you haven’t heard what the latest official communication from Los Cabos was when faced with the news that rumor had it Mexico, and therefore Cabo, weren’t safe to travel during this holiday season. Here it is: Cabo is safe. All you have to do is follow the protocols and enjoy!
