We just spent 3 glorious weeks in Playa del Carmen Mexico, so enjoy this photo dump!🇲🇽

👋🏼Well, it’s officially been 2 months of silence from us, but WE’RE BACK! Here’s a photo recap of our month in the South of France!

It was a nice break from social media and worrying about posting every day, but I did miss it, and you all of course! 😉 So, here’s what we’ve been up to.

After our month in the South of France (Nice, Marseille, Saint-Tropez, and Antibes) we:

✈️Flew to Seattle to visit a friend.
🎰Hopped over to Vegas for our annual Valentine’s day with friends.
🌵Had some family time in Arizona.
💕Ended with more family time in Minnesota and Wisconsin!
…it was a busy 2 months!

🇲🇽Since March 8th we’ve now been in Mexico and are loving the sunshine and beach time. Follow along for the last week of our time in Playa del Carmen!

🌞Villefranche-sur-Mer, you stole our hearts today.

We always thought the French Riviera was a summer destination, but we’re here to tell you to not wait. It’s beautiful this time of year, sunny & warm, & not many people.

💛Best part of the South of France? Exploring different villages along the coast.

So let’s play a game. Let us know in the comments how long you think it took us to get from Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mer along the coast. Either by bus or train. 💺

🚂Seeing the Harry Potter train cross the viaduct.

💍Watching our best friends get married. (This is only 1 of 3 beautiful weddings we went to.)

🥃Spending the month of October celebrating Ryan’s 30th birthday with whisky in Scotland.

🏟Fulfilling Ryan’s dream of seeing a match at Stamford Bridge.

Get your daily dose of where we traveled in 2021. Fifteenth & FINAL location, Egypt!✈️

We stayed in Egypt for about 5 days & had a hotel room with the perfect view.

Here are some Pyramid facts for you to save for your next trip!✨

🔺The Giza Plateau is where the 3 main pyramids are.

🐪Also on the plateau are 6 other (smaller) pyramids, The Great Sphinx, & a collection of smaller tombs.

🪦The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs.

🎟You can pay to enter each of the three main pyramids.

🌞There are a few scams that take place at the pyramids, so be alert. One in particular is asking for your ticket. Once in, you don’t have to show your ticket unless you’re entering the pyramids!

💫2021 Recap!💫

Get your daily dose of where we traveled in 2021. Fourteenth location, Thailand!✈️

🇹🇭We spent three weeks in Thailand and it was definitely not enough. 2 weeks were spent on the beaches of Phuket and 1 week in Bangkok.
-Restrictions are lessening, but when we went it was as part of the “Phuket Sandbox” program. We’re more than happy to help anyone navigate the process of entering Thailand!

✨Top things that we did while in Thailand.✨
Save for your future trip!

🐘Spent an afternoon at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary. Truly an unbelievable experience. (Ps. I just added an elephant highlight if you’d like to relive that day!)

🙏🏼Visited temples in both Phuket and Bangkok, but have so many more to visit one day.

🍜Wandered the streets and metro of Bangkok while gorging on street food.

🥥Drank daily coconuts and fruit smoothies on Patong Beach with minimal crowds.

This was our first time in Southeast Asia, and now we understand why so many people are obsessed. So, where in SE Asia should we venture next?🤷🏼‍♀️

Get your daily dose of where we traveled in 2021. Thirteenth location, Nevada! ✈️ Back to the USA. 🇺🇸

For the past 4 years we have headed to Las Vegas for Valentines Day with our friends, and it is one of the best traditions we have made. ♥️ Last night we officially booked our flight and hotel for 2022 & cannot wait!

🚙Well, 2021 we took a different approach and drove to Vegas from Arizona, where we were staying at Ryan’s parents home. If you ever have the chance to take that drive, do it. Locals told us it’s boring, but to us it was all new landscapes.

🎰Just 45 minutes outside of Sin City you can visit the Hoover Dam. I really can’t believe it’s a free site to see, but it is! Parking can cost you, but drive to the end and walk a bit to save that money.

☕️Before arriving Ryan told me Bucharest was called “The Paris of the East”. (If you’re new here, I adore France) I didn’t believe him, but it’s safe to say I was wrong!🥐

What to see in Bucharest! 📸Save for later!

✨Arcul de Triumf (Arch of Triumph) - We told you it was like Paris!

🇷🇴Palace of the Parliament - see our reels to see all of its beauty.

🎶Fun fact, in 1992 Michael Jackson visited Parliament, stood on the balcony we’re on, and greeted thousands of residents with “Hello Budapest”…while in Bucharest🤦🏼‍♀️

📚Carturesti Carusel - the most beautiful bookstore

🌳Cismigiu Gardens - wander the grounds, rent a rowboat, or grab a cocktail by the water at Monte Carlo.

Get your daily dose of where we traveled in 2021. Eleventh location, Georgia! (The country, not the state)✈️🤣

Where to begin with Georgia? Well, we stayed in Tbilisi and it ended up being one of my absolute favorite destinations. Why you might ask?

💰SO inexpensive. I think we paid like $2 for a 20 minute “Uber”. A lot of countries without Uber use an app called Bolt.

🍷Amazing wine. They are considered by many to be the birthplace of wine….sorry Italy.

Fun locations to visit! Be sure to see:
✨Orbeliani Bathhouse
✨Narikala Fortress - take a cable car ride from across the river.
✨Leaning Clock Tower
✨Peace Bridge & Rike Park
✨Mount Mtatsminda Amusement Park - free to enter & walk around! Plus, you can take a funicular ride up and have great views of the city!
✨Fabrika - old Soviet sewing factory that is now a hostel, cafe/bar, and co-working space. Perfect for digital nomads!

💛I could go on & on about Tbilisi, so if you plan to go be sure to DM me! Also, I’ve read that the countryside of Georgia is absolutely gorgeous, but we did not make it out of the city. Guess we have to go back!🤷🏼‍♀️

Get your daily dose of where we traveled in 2021. Tenth location, Finland!✈️

⛴If you make your way to Estonia, you might as well hop on the 2-2.5 hour ferry to Helsinki Finland. Here are some pointers for taking the ferry:

💺There are no assigned seats, so get on quickly & claim your spot.

🧳If you have large luggage there are lockers, but they are sometimes limited (& not free).

⚖️Plus side on luggage, I don’t think we had a weight limit, so no stress when repacking.

🍾You’ll see SO MANY people bringing booze to Finland, follow suit if you plan to drink as it’s significantly cheaper in Estonia.
 ☕️On the ferry there are plenty of food and cafe options, all within different price ranges, so don’t feel as if you need to fill up before your journey!

Tallinn Estonia will fulfill all of your old town European desires. We stayed in an airbnb in Old Town that quite literally had exposed brick from the original town walls.🤯

✨SAVE for later!✨

During your time in Tallinn you will want to:

💛Explore the different gates that enter Old Town.

🔭Climb Toompea Hill and find the two best viewpoints of the city.

🔔Gawk at Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

⛪️Climb to the top of St. Olaf’s Church.

🌞Explore all that the Town Hall Square has to offer.

📜Wander the Town Walls from above and in the tunnels below.

👩🏻‍🎨Get out of Old Town for a day in Telliskivi Creative City.

⛴Lastly, why not catch a ferry to Finland? 2-2.5 hours across the Gulf of Finland and you’ll be in Helsinki!🇫🇮

What did we miss? I’d love an excuse to head back to Estonia.
