📸 2016 ➡️ 2026 | 10 Years Later
Some photographs don’t just capture a moment… they remind us of how far we’ve come.
The first photo was taken in 2016, when I had the opportunity to meet Guillermo de Anda while participating in a project involving the exploration of a cenote. At that time, I helped the team as a tank carrier, supporting the divers and experiencing firsthand a world that made me even more interested in cenotes, Maya history, and the incredible heritage of Yucatán.
Ten years later, in 2026, life brought our paths together again — but this time from a completely different perspective.
Today, I had the opportunity to meet him again, now through my profession as a certified tour guide. We were able to talk, exchange ideas and experiences, and share our passion for history, archaeology, cenotes, and the Maya world.
Looking at these two photographs side by side is truly special to me. ❤️
They don’t simply show the passing of ten years. For me, they represent learning, growth, experience, and professional evolution.
Who would have imagined, when that first photo was taken in 2016, that ten years later our paths would cross again like this?
Thank you, Guillermo, for the conversations, for sharing your knowledge, and for continuing to inspire curiosity and respect for the history, cenotes, and cultural heritage of Yucatán. 🙏🌿
2016–2026. Ten years can change many things, but they can also remind us where our journey began.
