From log to legend.

I had the chance to document Josh Deojay of Josh Deojay as he transformed a massive piece of wood into one of our epic tikis.

Watching the details and personality emerge throughout the carving process was incredible.

Eventually, this guy will stand poolside. For now, he is guarding our back gate, and we are still amazed every time we look at him.

A giant thank you to Josh for letting me document the process and for creating something so unforgettable for our home.

300 miles. One pack.

Jeremy is officially packed for his 300 mile trek through Sweden.

Two hundred miles will be above the Arctic Circle. The remaining 100 will be just below it.

His goal was to keep his pack between 28 and 30 pounds.

He did it.

Inside are three outfits treated with bug repellent, Gore-Tex rain gear, seven days of astronaut-style food, camping equipment, hydration additives, AG1 for nutrients, eco safe tooiletries, and everything he needs to live outside for weeks.

What cannot be packed is the mental toughness this journey will require.

He will walk through mountains, glaciers, wildlife, cold, silence, and some of the most beautiful wilderness on Earth. He will meet other nature lovers along the trail and experience the kind of peace that only exists far away from everything.

Scotland is getting close!

There are a few important details to handle before an international trip, including applying for your UK ETA.

This is exactly why I start sharing reminders early. I want everyone traveling with me to feel prepared, supported, and excited rather than overwhelmed by last-minute details.

And then there is the surprise at the end…

I designed what I imagine the Khaleesi clan tartan would look like. I absolutely love how the colors came together.

Now I just need to find someone who can turn it into actual fabric. Imagine scarves, blankets, or a little piece of TKT plaid for every traveler.

I love the miles.

I love the challenge.

I love reaching places that take a little effort to experience.

What I do not love is being cold, carrying everything on my back, or sleeping on the ground after a long day.

I want real adventure with comfort waiting at the end.

A beautiful place to stay. A wonderful meal. Thoughtful details. Someone handling the logistics so I can be fully present for the experience.

Solo women are always welcomed and encouraged on The Khaleesi Trek.

You do not need to wait for a partner, friend, or family member before saying yes to the trip that is calling you.

Many of our travelers join on their own and quickly become part of a warm, supportive group. Some leave with lifelong friendships.

But that’s not the experience I’m creating.

Every Khaleesi Trek is intentionally designed to help you feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time collecting moments you’ll never forget.

I personally vet our accommodations, local partners, guides, restaurants, and experiences because I’m traveling right alongside you. If something isn’t good enough for me, it isn’t good enough for my guests.

My goal isn’t simply to take you somewhere beautiful. It’s to create a journey you’ll still be talking about years later.
