I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Xcaret Arte and was blown away by the beauty of this resort!!! The perfect mix of nature and luxury! No detail was missed. Even the tiles in the bathrooms were gorgeous! Everything was stunning!

This is the perfect resort for adults looking for a luxurious vacation with appreciation for art and gastronomy. Every day is a new adventure with unlimited access to amazing parks like Xcaret, Xel Ha, Xplor, Xenses and more.

Lost a tooth at Disney World?

Tell a cast member and you may get a nice surprise! We were in Magic Kingdom when my daughter lost her tooth and they gave her a celebrating pin.

The resort gift shop gave out a little tooth fairy package with a tooth container, a Tinkerbell pin, an Ariel pressed coin, some Mickey confetti and a letter. She was so happy! ✨🦷🧚

Ever wonder what the bed set up is like for a family of 4 on a cruise ship? These set ups can vary depending on cruise line and ship!

Our family of 4 recently sailed on MSC Meraviglia and the room set up was different compared to our first cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas.

On MSC Meraviglia we had a king bed and our sofa converted to bunk beds. We kept the bunk bed set up the entire week and the kids loved it. The top bunk was marked for 6 years old and up. We kind of preferred this set up as it gave us more floor space to move around the beds.

On Symphony of the Seas we had a king bed and the sofa converted to a trundle. The trundle could be left at 2 different heights or can be popped up to make a double bed. We preferred to keep it in 2 different levels and it gave the 2 kids their own space. When not in use we could slide the bed under the couch. This option is great if you have 2 small kids that would not be able to use the top bunk.

The other room layout that cruise ships have is a Pullman bed. This is an upper bunk that is pulled down from the ceiling. Both MSC and Royal Caribbean have pullmans available as well.

A common cruise hack for families is to used magnetic hooks and a blackout curtain to create a private area.

Bahía Príncipe Coba Resort

This resort comes up many times when helping families choose a resort. I am so glad I had a chance to experience it with my family and some friends. We found that this was a great resort for families and we all had a great experience.

The complex is made up of 4 resorts. The Grand Coba, Grand Tulum, Luxury Akumal and Luxury Sian Ka’an - Adults only. I had a chance to visit all the resorts during our stay.

For guests staying at Coba, it is important to note that the resort is not directly on the beach but a shuttle is available. The Coba section of the beach is small and has a beach bar but no food options are available. We found some tips along the way so for anyone looking to stay at this resort, feel free to message me or comment below!

Pros:
- fun water park
- large entertainment and quiet pool
- the beach was very clean and calm at Coba. It was a great place for snorkelling and we loved seeing the resident pelicans hunting for fish. The beach was rocky so water shoes is recommended
- kids club has many activities all day. The favourite was face painting
- the Pisces snack bar had lots of great options for lunch and late night snacks
- Coba buffet had lots of options and we found the food very good
- a la cartes were booked online before we arrived and was able to accommodate 9 of us at a table
- good value for our money

Cons:
- the resort is a long drive from CUN airport and the check-in process took a long time
- taking a shuttle to the beach was ok for older kids but could be an issue for younger kids. It was very inconvenient to go back to the room if you forgot anything
- no food options meant going back to the Coba buffet or snack bar for lunch. Pro tip - you can upgrade your wrist bands to use the buffet at Tulum or Akumal
- the waterpark is meant for smaller kids. Our 5 year olds loved the waterpark but our 8 year olds found the slides to be too small or slow. They spent more time at the pool

Overall it was a great vacation and we all had a great time at the resort. It’s great for families or anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.
