The re-entry is the part nobody posts about.

Last week I was watching the sun set over Hanalei Bay. This week I’m staring at a mountain of laundry and an inbox that multiplied while I was gone. If you’ve ever come home from a trip and felt a little flat, a little restless, a little why am I sad, I just had the best week — you’re not broken. You’re just re-entering.

Here’s what I’ve learned about softening the landing 👇
→ Bring one ritual home. The slow morning coffee. The evening walk. You don’t need the islands to live a little more like you did there.

→ Don’t unpack the trip too fast. Let the joy linger in the ordinary — frame the photo, pour the good wine on a Tuesday.

→ Refocus with something to look forward to. The fastest cure for the post-trip blues isn’t denial. It’s a plan.

And because I’m always real with you about the money part: you don’t have to choose between being responsible and having something on the horizon. Start a “next escape” fund the week you get home when the feeling’s freshest.

Book early — the best stays and lowest fares reward planners, not scramblers. And travel the shoulder seasons for fewer crowds and softer prices.

The goal was never to stop missing it. It’s to keep going back.

18 people. One week in Maui. Every single one of them had a different favorite moment.
Scuba diving with sea turtles.
Rappelling down a waterfall.
A snorkel cruise on the open ocean.
Outrigger canoes.
A luau that the people who “didn’t really want to go” ended up enjoying the show.

That’s the thing about group travel done right — you don’t have to choose between adventure and relaxation, between the whole group experience and the individual one. A well-built trip has room for all of it.

My portal monitors many rates after booking. If they drop, I rebook. Saves you money and you do t have to lift a Finger. Big trip or small trip make sure you reach out before you book!

People always ask what else does a travel advisor do except book hotels? The answer is we book experiences and things you didn’t know you were looking for. The private beach bonfire set up for your arrival. The perfect spot to watch fireworks without the massive crowds. The chartered catamaran with drinks and fun staff waiting to serve your group. The beach day set-up in Costa Rica that lasts from noon till well past sunset. That’s the difference between booking a trip and having someone build one for you.
