La Via Cara

La Via Cara You dream it. I'll handle it. I plan milestone trips, family travel, and the kind of getaways you've been putting off because life's too busy.

Whether it's a 50th anniversary in Italy, a multi-gen reunion in Mexico,a long weekend you need — I got you.

Four types of traveler. Four completely different falls.

One couple is renewing their vows somewhere between Rome and Malta.

Another is spending their 50th anniversary in Grenada.

Four college roommates are meeting in Québec City for a thermal spa and a long weekend.

And one traveler is spending two months moving through Italy and France, studying for her sommelier exam.

Not one of these trips looks like another, and not one of them came out of a package.

That’s the difference between booking a trip and having one built for you.

I’ll be sharing each of these over the next few weeks. Follow along.

Planning your own fall? Or already dreaming about next year? DM me FALL and let’s start.

Some people think a travel advisor just books your hotel. It can be so much more. 🤍

The Hansers are a family of five, parents and three adult kids and they wanted to see it all in just eight nights. They told me they love to go-go-go, pack it in. So that’s the trip they got.

In eight nights: hotels and a private apartment.
A private water taxi down the Grand Canal.
A private day to Burano and Murano.
A Colosseum tour in Rome.
An e-bike ride through Florence with the Duomo right there.
A Tuscany day through the vineyards.
And dining all along the way.
All they had to do was show up and enjoy it.

That pace isn’t for everyone, and that’s exactly the point. I don’t do one-size-fits-all. Theirs was full-throttle Italy, and they loved every minute.

Yours might be slower, quieter, all about the food. Either way, I’ll build the one that fits you.

Two days in Dallas for Fora’s Momentum conference and I almost talked myself out of going.

I spent years home with my kids. Now, in my 50s, I’ve built something of my own, and most of that building has happened quietly, alone, at my desk, researching and planning trips I love. That solitude has been my comfort zone. Walking into a room full of hundreds of other advisors was very much not.

But I went. And I’m so glad I did.

Yes, there were two days of incredible sessions — business growth, partner relationships, a first look at Via, Fora’s own AI tool, and so many ideas for serving my clients even better. We stayed at (and toured) the stunning Joule downtown. All of it sharpened how I work.

But the best part wasn’t on the agenda. It was the women. From everywhere, every age, every background and each with a story, each with something to teach me. I came home realizing how much I’d been missing connection and collaboration, quietly working on my own all this time.

If you’ve been telling yourself it’s too late, or you’re too out of practice, or the room is too intimidating- go anyway. On the other side of that nervousness is exactly what you didn’t know you needed.

In Austin this week to move my daughter into grad school 🎓. And where we’re staying? It’s a good reminder of something a lot of people don’t realize I can do.

This isn’t a hotel. It’s a condo I booked for the trip — full kitchen, living room, laundry, space to actually settle in. And here’s what a lot of people don’t realize: I can book these too.

Hotels are wonderful, and often exactly right. But for a longer stay, a family trip, or when you just want room to breathe and a kitchen for your morning coffee, a condo or apartment can be the better call. Same access, same support, same someone-handling-the-details — just a different kind of home base.

So if your next trip calls for more than a hotel room, ask me. 🤍

Seven months ago, I set a goal: reach Pro status with Fora.
This week, I hit it. 🤍

I’m sharing it because of what it means for the people I plan for. Pro status opens doors I can now walk you through:

✈️ Fora Flights — access to Fora’s internal flight desk for premium cabin travel. The good seats, handled.

🏨 Individual access to top preferred partners — better standing and value with the hotels and brands you actually want.

🌍 Deeper access to the industry’s best, including Virtuoso — so every recommendation I make keeps getting sharper.

None of this happens without the travelers who trusted me early — who let me plan their cruises, their family trips, their once-in-a-lifetime escapes. You believed in La Via Cara before there was a milestone to point to. Thank you, truly.

Here’s to the next goal, and the trips ahead.

Two weeks through Northern Italy and Switzerland with the Foster family- and this note they sent afterward means everything.

“Some trips you remember because of where you went. The best ones are memorable because of how they made you feel.

After two weeks exploring Northern Italy and Switzerland, I’m convinced we would have missed so much without La Via Cara. She thoughtfully planned every stop, every hike, every recommendation, and every logistical detail—including getting us into Zermatt without a hitch.

And her travel app? Absolute lifesaver. Everything lived in one place: reservations, maps, confirmations, recommendations, tickets, and our daily itinerary. It meant less time planning and more time standing on mountaintops, wandering beautiful villages, and soaking in every moment.

The best travel feels effortless. It isn’t. It’s the result of someone who knows the destination, anticipates every detail, and genuinely wants you to have an unforgettable experience.

Thank you, La Via Cara. You gave us memories we’ll be talking about for years.

This is the whole reason I do this. If you want a trip your family will still be talking about years from now, let’s build it.

This was my face when a friend told me he booked his hotel from the tarmac.

Plane about to take off, scrolling for anything still available near his venue- while I sat there thinking, I could have handled this for you and you could have relaxed back into your seat with a drink.

If you travel for work, you’ve probably been him. The hotel is the one piece that gets done last- rushed, overpriced, from a plane seat.

Here’s the thing: it doesn’t have to be your job. Send me your upcoming trips- conferences, client visits, the routes you run again and again and I’ll plan the hotels around them. Booked before it becomes a fire drill, often with perks a block rate won’t include like room upgrade and free breakfast.

You do your job. Let me do this part, and you can be the one sitting back and relaxing. Intake form in bio or DM me your hotel and transport needs.

I’ve been talking a lot lately about trips that are easier than they look. This is one of the ones I would point to first.

Alaska is on almost everyone’s list but it’s the one people keep putting off because it sounds like too much to organize. But it doesn’t have to be!

Two of my clients set sail this weekend, and the thing they’re most looking forward to is exactly what I love about this trip: you unpack once, and Alaska comes to you. Glaciers, fjords, little harbor towns - the places that are genuinely hard to reach any other way.

Next season is already open to book, and the best cabins and dates go first. If Alaska or any tough to reach destination is on your list let’s find the right cruise for you!

Going alone isn’t a lesser way to travel- for a lot of people, it’s the freest. My job is to make sure solo never means on your own when it counts.
