STRENGTHENING EMERGENCY RESPONSE READINESS AT TANJUNG LANGSAT PORT

12 Aug 2026 - Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) conducted a Breathing Apparatus (BA) Training Program for 8 new personnel from the Auxiliary Police (AP), TEFM and TFZ, led by the TLP HSE Team.

The training focused on enhancing emergency response competency, particularly in the safe use of breathing apparatus, search & rescue operations, and emergency response in vessels, warehouses, buildings, and confined spaces.

The program combined theoretical learning, hands-on practical training and simulation drills, including BA familiarization, equipment checks, safe movement in smoke-filled and low-visibility environments, and search & rescue exercises.

This initiative reflects TLP’s continued commitment to strengthening safety culture, emergency preparedness, and operational resilience across our port operations.

TLP PROMOTES SAFETY AWARENESS AMONG FUTURE GENERATIONS

29 July 2026 - The program engaged approximately 120 students and teachers through interactive fire safety awareness sessions and emergency response demonstrations, aimed at instilling the importance of fire prevention, preparedness, and responsible action from an early age.

The session featured a practical fire-extinguisher demonstration conducted by En Mohd Nazrin Ramli from TLP's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department. Students and teachers were subsequently allowed to operate fire extinguishers under the close supervision of trained HSE personnel, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in responding safely and effectively to small fire incidents.

The program was attended by Tuan Haji Jeffri Rahmat, Head of Port Safety and Security (PSS), and Cikgu Saimon Bin Haron, Guru Besar of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanjung Langsat, symbolizing the strong partnership between TLP and the local educational community in promoting safety awareness and preparedness.

At TLP, safety is more than an operational priority, it is a shared responsibility. Through initiatives such as the HSE Awareness Program, TLP continues to strengthen community resilience, enhance public awareness of safety best practices, and inspire the next generation to embrace a proactive safety mindset.

JOHOR HALAL LOGISTICS WORKSHOP 2026

29 Jul 2026 - Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) was honoured to participate in the Johor Halal Logistics Workshop 2026, together with fellow ports and logistics industry stakeholders across Johor.

The workshop marks a significant milestone in Johor's commitment to strengthening its halal logistics ecosystem by introducing a comprehensive halal logistics framework. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the integrity, traceability, and security of the halal supply chain, ensuring that halal products are handled in full compliance with Shariah principles while meeting the highest standards of quality and consumer confidence.

The programme was officiated by Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid, Chairman of the Johor State Islamic Religious Affairs Committee.

The workshop was jointly organised through the strategic collaboration between Johor Halal Development Corporation (JHDC) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), reflecting a shared commitment to advancing Johor as a leading halal logistics hub and supporting the sustainable growth of Malaysia's halal economy.

TLP remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen halal logistics excellence, operational integrity, and industry collaboration, in line with the Islamic values of Amanah (trustworthiness), Ihsan (excellence), and Maslahah (public benefit) for the benefit of the nation and the global halal industry.

23 Jul 2026 – Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) was honored to visit the headquarters of PSA Corporation Limited at PSA Horizons, Singapore, marking another meaningful milestone in strengthening regional port collaboration and fostering strategic partnerships within the maritime and logistics industry.

The visit served as an excellent platform for constructive discussions and knowledge sharing between both port operators. The engagement covered a wide range of topics, including port operations, commercial development, cargo ecosystems, digitalization, sustainability initiatives, and opportunities to enhance regional supply chain connectivity. Both parties also exchanged insights on the evolving maritime landscape and explored potential avenues for future collaboration that will create value for customers and stakeholders across the logistics ecosystem.
