📦 物流小知识 | 很多人搞混的3个费用

Demurrage vs Detention vs Storage

很多客户都会问：
为什么货到了之后，还会有这么多费用？

其实最常见的就是这 3种费用 👇

① Demurrage（滞港费）

意思是：
柜子在码头停太久，没有被提走

发生地点：港口码头 / 堆场

简单理解：
船已经到了，但柜子还一直放在码头。

📌 超过免费天数就开始收费。

② Detention（滞箱费）

意思是：
柜子已经提走，但没有按时还回去

发生地点：客户仓库 / 外面

简单理解：
柜子已经送到仓库卸货，
但空柜拖太久才还回去。

📌 超过免费用柜时间就会收费。

③ Storage（仓储费）

意思是：
货物在仓库存放太久

发生地点：港口仓库 / LCL仓

常见情况：
📦 拼柜货物
📦 海关查验
📦 文件延误

📌 最简单的记法：

🚢 Demurrage → 柜还在码头
🚛 Detention → 柜已经提走
📦 Storage → 货在仓库

Demurrage vs Detention vs Storage

Three charges that many customers often confuse!

After cargo arrives at the port,
if it is not handled in time,
these three fees may occur 👇

1️⃣ Demurrage

📍 Where it happens: Port terminal / container yard

Meaning:
The container stays at the terminal too long without being picked up.

Example 👇
Vessel arrives → 3 days free time
If the container is not picked up on Day 4 → charges start.

2️⃣ Detention

📍 Where it happens: After the container has left the terminal

Meaning:
The container is not returned to the shipping line on time after pickup.

Example 👇
A truck delivers the container to the warehouse.
After unloading, the empty container is not returned within the free time
→ Detention will be charged.

3️⃣ Storage

📍 Where it happens: Port warehouse / LCL warehouse

Meaning:
The cargo stays in the warehouse too long.

📦 Customs inspection
📦 Documentation delays
