If you are familiar with PJ SS15, there is famous with it's bubble tea street. However, there is also a bubble tea lover's heaven which is Mount Austin, one of the district in Johor Bahru.

Seeing is believing, Mount Austin has at least 20 bubble tea shops that can definitely satisfy your sweet bud such as The Yunique Tea, The Whalet Tea, Regiustea and my favorite, Xing Fu Tang.

Besides that, Mount Austin is crowded with cafe, eateries, massage parlours and KTV.If you are hungry for some smacking good food but doesn’t know where? Head on down to Mount Austin, a food haven district that will sure to satisfy your appetite!

This area has an array of different flavour restaurant from eastern to western.Meat eaters, vegetarians, artisanal coffee aficionados, local and western dishes lover, they have everything for you and more.

Have you check out our popular Bazaar Karat post, you may scroll down if you have not. In Johor Bahru Centre, if you are visiting Bazaar Karat, you do not want to miss out the popular street food along Jalan Siu Chin.

If you walk along Jalan Siu Chin, you will notice a row of hawker stall along the back alley of the shop houses. They have chinese, Malay and Indian food there. However, if you are a person that very particular on food hygiene, this may ruin your appetite. Fret not, there are few decent food courts located at Jalan Meldrum. You still can find some food to fill up your stomach.

I tried the curry mee sell by old chinese couple - first stall next to Jalan Siu Chin. It surprisingly good with the thick and clear broth comes with strong coconut aroma. I wanted to try the osyter omelette but was told to wait for 1hour. 1 hour waiting time for a dish from back alley ?!? i bet you know how it tastes right ? Let me know if anyone tried the osyter omelette.

Located on Jalan Bijeh Timah (formerly Treacher Street), tell a wonderful tale of a newly-married young man who set about introducing his cooling herbal tea, or leong char in Cantonese, to the masses.
