Preserved Railway Locomotive KTM Class 24 109 at Bukit Besi.
KTM Class 24 Toshiba Kawasaki is a diesel electric mainline locomotive manufactured by Toshiba & Kawasaki back in 1987 for Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM).
This locomotive was used on the entire of KTM network in Peninsula Malaysia for both freight and passenger services. At one time, Class 24 were also used to hauled cargo all the way to Bangkok, Thailand.
There are a decent amount of Class 24 still in active service including northern and southern working for both freight and passenger services.
This particular unit 24109 named Hang Kasturi along with 1 Malayan Tiger Train (MTT) 2nd Class Coach BSC 2003 (ex-JR Blue Train OHAFU 15-23) are being transformed into a cafe at Bukit Besi, Terengganu.
Hopefully the contractor will be able to restore both of these Japanese rolling stock back into initial original condition with reference to SRT Makkasan factory or local railway fans.
