What is the deal for participants families and personal crew for KL Tower BASE jump 2018?
I saw quite a high fee quoted, which the new BASE organiser falsely claimed was a discount on the previous year.

This leads me to assume that KL Tower and their new BASE organiser have reintroduced force marketing extortion tactics, not permitting BASE jumpers packers, children and partners into the packing room, where BASE jumpers spend most of their time, unless they essentially pay for the "Sitting on the Edge” activity plus more for every day they want to be there?

I also assume the high fee quoted is not inclusive of the extra fee that the new BASE organiser already demand that participants and their partners prepaid him to remain on his invite list. This extra fee was expected to be paid before they were informed what the final cost would be, or what they would actually get for their money. I believe this extra fee was being demanded to be paid even before the new BASE organiser was officially given the job. I do not recommend ever paying any fee until full disclosure is given of the final cost and what they will really get for their money.

In 2017 participants partners, children, packers etc, ended up being given complementary access to the tower head level where BASE jumpers spend most of their time. They only had to pay a fee on the days they wanted to go to the launch point level. This was only decided a week before the event when the KL Tower CEO of 2017 was shown that they were promoting KL Tower to international BASE jumpers as a place of extortion and a place for BASE jumpers not to bring their families. He wisely decided he wanted to treat BASE jumpers families with more respect.

KL Tower's force marketing extortion tactics were introduced in 2016, forcing BASE jumpers partners, children and other personal crew to pay for 4 days of “Sitting on the Edge”, and 4 days of food, regardless of it they were there for 1 day or 4 and regardless of if they wanted these things or not. It resulted in the mass food poisoning of everyone after just 2 days. No refunds or apologies were ever given.

KL Tower do not try to force such things on any of their other visitors, so why do they KL Tower now treat BASE jumpers families with such disrespect when BASE Jumpers are coming to promote KL Tower to the world?

What is the cost this year for a BASE jumpers 17 year old child, since “Sitting On The Edge” is only permitted for 18 years and above? Leading up to the 2017 event they were trying to force all BASE jumpers children over 13 to essentially pay inflated prices for "Sitting on the Edge" even though they did not meet KL Towers age requirements for this activity.

After fighting hard to ensure BASE jumpers family and personal crew were fairly treated, and being thrown out of the event after 17 years due to this, it is disappointing if the new BASE organiser and all BASE jumpers going to the event have accepted the disrespect of their families again. I suggest to them that they do not accept any of KL Towers force marketing extortion tactics if that is what is being put back in place this year.
