Incoterms 2020 are the global standard trade rules set by the International Chamber of Commerce. They define who pays for shipping, who handles customs, and when risk moves from the seller to the buyer in trade deals.
Rules :-
- EXW (Ex Works): Buyer pays all costs and takes all risk from the seller's door.
- FCA (Free Carrier): Seller delivers to a carrier chosen by the buyer at a named place.
- FAS (Free Alongside Ship): Seller places goods next to the ship at the port.
- FOB (Free on Board): Seller loads goods on the ship.
- CFR (Cost and Freight): Seller pays shipping to the port.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight): Seller pays shipping and basic insurance to the port
- CPT (Carriage Paid To): Seller pays freight to the destination.
- CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid To): Seller pays freight and high-level insurance.
- DAP (Delivered at Place): Seller delivers goods to the named destination place.
- DPU (Delivered at Place Unloaded): Seller delivers and unloads the goods at the destination.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Seller handles everything, including import duties and taxes
