Port Klang is situated on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, about 40 km from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Its proximity to the greater Klang Valley - the commercial and industrial hub of the country as well as the country's most populous region ensures that the port plays a pivotal role in the economic development of the country. Based on a Government directive in

1993, Port Klang is currently being developed as the National Load Centre and eventually a hub for the region. With a number of load centring and hubbing strategies pursued since 1993, the facilities and services in Port Klang are now synonymous to those of World class ports. The port has trade connections with over 120 countries and dealings with more than 500 ports around the world. Its ideal geographical location makes it the first port of call for ships on the eastbound leg and the last port of call on the westbound leg of the Far East-Europe trade route. The Port Klang Authority (PKA) is a statutory corporation established on 1st July 1963, to take over the administration of Port Klang from the Malayan Railway Administration. In tandem with the Government policy to infuse private sector management and discipline in various Government owned/controlled undertakings in the country, the first privatisation of major port facility took place in Port Klang. In 1986 the container terminal facilities operated by Port Klang Authority was privatised to Klang Container Terminal Berhad. Subsequent to this exercise, the remaining operational facilities and services of the port were privatised to Klang Port Management Sdn Bhd in 1992 (both have since merged and now known as Nothport Malaysia). The new port facilities developed in the island of Pulau Lumut were privatised to Kelang Multi Terminal Sdn Bhd in 1994 (known as Westports Malaysia). With the divestment of the operational facilities and services of the port through these privatisation exercises, the Authority has taken on an enhanced role of a trade facilitator, regulator and landlord. 5 Mei 2026: Pengarah Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) Negeri Selangor, YS Datoโ€™ Wan Md Razali bin Wan Ismail, telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke Ibu Pejabat Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang (LPK) hari ini. Ketibaan delegasi disambut mesra oleh Pengurus Besar LPK, YBhg. Datoโ€™ Kapten K. Subramaniam, serta wakil-wakil pengurusan dari Westports, Northport, dan Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

Kunjungan ini merupakan sesi libat urus strategik bagi memperkukuh kerjasama sedia ada, di samping menjadi platform perbincangan mengenai penambahbaikan aspek keselamatan kebakaran di seluruh fasiliti pelabuhan.

Delegasi seterusnya dibawa meninjau infrastruktur keselamatan di terminal Westports sebelum mengakhiri lawatan dengan taklimat teknikal di Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS). Sesi ini memberikan pendedahan mendalam mengenai mekanisme pemantauan trafik perkapalan dan koordinasi logistik yang menjadi tunjang operasi Pelabuhan Klang. Semoga jalinan kerjasama ini terus diperkasa demi melindungi aset strategik negara dan menjamin kesejahteraan komuniti maritim.

5 May 2026: The Director of the Selangor State Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), YS Datoโ€™ Wan Md Razali bin Wan Ismail, conducted a courtesy visit to the Port Klang Authority (PKA) Headquarters today. The delegation was warmly received by the General Manager of PKA, YBhg. Datoโ€™ Captain K. Subramaniam, and management representatives from Westports, Northport, and Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

This visit serves as a strategic engagement session to strengthen existing cooperation and provide a platform for discussing the enhancement of fire safety aspects across all port facilities.

The delegation then proceeded to inspect the safety infrastructure at the Westports terminal before concluding the visit with a technical briefing at the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS). This session provided profound insights into shipping traffic monitoring mechanisms and logistics coordination, which are the backbone of Port Klangโ€™s operations. It is hoped that this synergy will continue to be empowered to safeguard national strategic assets and ensure the well-being of the maritime community.

Port Klang Authority (PKA) Recognized with ISO 37001:2025 (ABMS) Certification โ€“ Transition from ISO 37001:2016 to ISO 37001:2025

Port Klang Authority (PKA) has further strengthened its organizational governance by successfully transitioning from ISO 37001:2016 to the latest ISO 37001:2025 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) certification.

The two-day certification audit held on 23โ€“24 April 2026 at PKA Headquarters was conducted by SIRIM QAS International.

The opening meeting was chaired by Mr. Adnan bin Abidin, Covering Assistant General Manager (Administration & Finance), while the closing meeting was chaired by Datoโ€™ Capt. K. Subramaniam, General Manager of PKA.

The audit focused on reviewing documentation, compliance, anti-bribery culture and implementation across all divisions in line with the updated international standard.

With this achievement, PKA has officially transitioned to ISO 37001:2025. This milestone demonstrates the strong commitment of PKA personnel to upholding integrity and fostering a corruption-free work culture within the organization.

Congratulations to the Integrity Unit, the ABMS Internal Audit Team, and all PKA employees for their dedication and teamwork in making this accomplishment possible, reflecting PKAโ€™s commitment to excellence, integrity and good governance.


LEMBAGA PELABUHAN KELANG (LPK) KINI DIIKTIRAF DENGAN PENSIJILAN ISO 37001:2025 (ABMS): TRANSISI DARIPADA ISO 37001: 2016 KEPADA ISO 37001: 2025

Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang (LPK) terus memperkukuh tadbir urus organisasi melalui Audit Pensijilan semula Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) ISO 37001:2025 bagi menggantikan versi ISO 37001:2016. Sesi audit yang berlangsung selama dua hari (23-24 April 2026) di Ibu Pejabat LPK ini telah dikendalikan oleh pihak SIRIM QAS International.

Audit pensijilan semula ini merupakan langkah strategik bagi memastikan sistem pengurusan antirasuah LPK sentiasa relevan dan selari dengan piawaian antarabangsa yang terkini. Fokus utama audit adalah semakan terhadap perubahan dokumen, pematuhan, pembudayaan dan pelaksanaan antirasuah oleh setiap bahagian berdasarkan standard antarabangsa yang terbaharu.

Mesyuarat Pembukaan telah dipengerusikan oleh En. Adnan bin Abidin, Mg. Penolong Pengurus Besar (Pentadbiran & Kewangan) dan mesyuarat penutup telah dipengerusikan oleh Datoโ€™ Capt. K. Subramaniam, Pengurus Besar LPK.

Berikutan itu, LPK secara rasminya telah beralih daripada standard ISO 37001:2016 kepada versi terbaharu iaitu ISO 37001:2025. Kejayaan ini membuktikan komitmen warga LPK dalam mengekalkan integriti dan budaya kerja bebas rasuah di LPK.

Mohd Azuan Bin Mohamad Paudzi selaku wakil Pengurus Besar LPK telah menghadiri Majlis Apresiasi Kerajaan - Komuniti Perniagaan anjuran Gabungan Dewan Perniagaan dan Perindustrian Cina Malaysia (ACCCIM) bertempat di M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang telah menerima plak penghargaan daripada pihak ACCCIM yang telah disampaikan oleh Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, Presiden ACCCIM dan disaksikan oleh YAB Datoโ€™ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi, Timbalan Perdana Menteri Malaysia.

26 April 2026 โ€“ Mr. Mohd Azuan Bin Mohamad Paudzi representing the General Manager of LPK, attended the Governmentโ€“Business Community Appreciation Reception organized by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Port Klang Authority received a plaque of appreciation from ACCCIM which was presented by Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of ACCCIM and witnessed by YAB Datoโ€™ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.

In his keynote address, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Malaysia advancing as an integrated national business ecosystem to ensure that economic growth is driven comprehensively and effectively. He highlighted that the government and industry must not operate in isolation but instead complement one another especially in navigating global uncertainties and current supply chain disruptions.

Program Integrasi Sosial Sinar ANUGERAH 2026 telah berjaya dianjurkan oleh Kelab ANUGERAH Autisme Daerah Klang, Klinik Kesihatan Bukit Kuda bersama Panel Penasihatnya, serta Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Klang pada 26 April 2026 (Ahad), bertempat di Bangunan Kelab Sukan dan Rekreasi, Lembaga Pelabuhan Klang.

Program ini telah dirasmikan oleh YB Tuan Azmizam Zaman Hurim, Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Pelabuhan Klang, bersama Dr. Noriah Ismail, Pegawai Kesihatan Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Klang. Encik Sri Muhunan Rajaretnam, Penolong Pengurus Besar (Korporat & Pembangunan), telah mewakili Lembaga Pelabuhan Klang ke program tersebut. Program ini berjaya menghimpunkan seramai 350 peserta.

The Sinar ANUGERAH 2026 Social Integration Program was successfully organised by the ANUGERAH Autism Club of Klang District, the Bukit Kuda Health Clinic together with its Advisory Panel, as well as the Klang District Health Office on 26 April 2026 (Sunday), at the Port Klang Authority Sports and Recreation Club Building.

The program was officiated by YB Tuan Azmizam Zaman Hurim, State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Port Klang, together with Dr. Noriah Ismail, Health Officer of the Klang District Health Office. Mr. Sri Muhunan Rajaretnam, Assistant General Manager (Corporate & Development), represented the Port Klang Authority at the event. The program successfully gathered a total of 350 participants.

Various activities were carried out, including aerobics and a brisk walk, followed by talent performances by children with autism, showcasing admirable spirit, talent, and self-confidence.

Pelabuhan Klang telah menyambut persinggahan sulung MSC Magnifica pada 7 April 2026 di Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT), bersempena sambutan Ulang Tahun Ke-25 Mediterranean Shipping Company (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (MSC Malaysia). Majlis tersebut telah diserikan dengan kehadiran YB Loke Siew F**k, Menteri Pengangkutan.

MSC merupakan syarikat perkapalan kontena terbesar di dunia dan hari ini meraikan ulang tahun ke-25 kehadirannya di Malaysia. Sepanjang tempoh tersebut, MSC Malaysia telah memainkan peranan penting dalam menghubungkan negara ini dengan rangkaian perdagangan global, sekali gus mengukuhkan kedudukan Pelabuhan Klang sebagai gerbang maritim utama.

Ketibaan MSC Magnifica, sebuah kapal persiaran bertaraf dunia dengan kapasiti melebihi 3,200 penumpang, terus memperkukuh peranan Pelabuhan Klang sebagai hab pelayaran serantau. Persinggahan ini merupakan sebahagian daripada MSC World Cruise 2026 yang merangkumi 46 destinasi di 33 negara.

Port Klang proudly welcomed the maiden call of MSC Magnifica on 7 April 2026 at the Port Klang Cruise Terminal (PKCT), in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary celebration of Mediterranean Shipping Company (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MSC Malaysia). The ceremony was graced by YB Loke Siew F**k, Minister of Transport.

MSC is the worldโ€™s largest container shipping line and today celebrates its 25th anniversary of presence in Malaysia. Over the years, MSC Malaysia has played a vital role in connecting the nation to global trade networks, reinforcing Port Klangโ€™s position as a leading maritime gateway.

The arrival of MSC Magnifica, a world-class cruise vessel with a capacity of over 3,200 passengers, further underscores Port Klangโ€™s growing prominence as a regional cruise hub. This call forms part of the MSC World Cruise 2026, spanning 46 destinations across 33 countries.

2 April 2026: Pengerusi Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang, YBrs. Tuan Ean Yong Hian Wah bersama Pengurus Besar YBhg. Datoโ€™ Capt. K. Subramaniam serta Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), Puan Priscilla Lim telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Timbalan Menteri Kewangan, di pejabat beliau pagi ini.

Kunjungan ini memberi peluang kepada pihak LPK untuk mendapatkan pandangan serta berkongsi perkembangan semasa berkaitan usaha memperkukuh peranan PKFZ dalam menyokong aktiviti perdagangan dan logistik di Pelabuhan Klang.

Perbincangan turut menyentuh perkembangan semasa industri perkapalan global serta kepentingan mempertingkatkan keseluruhan ekosistem pelabuhan agar kekal responsif terhadap keperluan industri yang sentiasa berkembang serta peluang pertumbuhan baharu.

Subramaniam and Ms. Priscilla Lim, CEO of Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) paid a courtesy call on YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Finance at his office this morning.

The visit provided an opportunity for Port Klang Authority to seek views and share updates on ongoing efforts to strengthen the role of PKFZ in supporting trade and logistics activities at Port Klang.

The discussion also touched on recent developments in the global shipping industry and the importance of enhancing the overall port ecosystem to remain responsive to evolving industry needs and growth opportunities.

Lembaga Pelabuhan Kelang (LPK) melakar sejarah apabila diberi penghormatan mewakili delegasi Malaysia bagi membentangkan kejayaan pembangunan dan pelaksanaan Malaysia Maritime Single Window (MMSW) di London.

Pembentangan ini telah dilakukan oleh En. R. Sri Muhunan, Penolong Pengurus Besar (Korporat dan Pembangunan) sempena persidangan Facilitation Committee ke 50 (FAL50) bertempat di Ibu Pejabat International Maritime Organization (IMO) pada 23 - 27 Mac 2026.

Antara intipati perkongsian pada sesi tersebut tersebut termasuklah inisiatif digitalisasi maritim di seluruh Malaysia, cabaran pembangunan dan pelaksanaan sistem MMSW, rangka kerja sistem MMSW, hasil libat urus bersama kementerian, agensi kerajaan, pertubuhan perkapalan, dan operator pelabuhan, serta komitmen Malaysia dalam mendepani cabaran pembangunan sistem demi kelancaran perdagangan global.

Kehadiran LPK di pentas IMO ini membuktikan komitmen jitu Malaysia dalam mematuhi garis panduan antarabangsa serta memastikan integrasi data ship-to-shore yang lebih harmoni dan efisien.

Port Klang Authority (PKA) made history after being honored to represent the Malaysian delegation in presenting the successful development and implementation of the Malaysia Maritime Single Window (MMSW) in London.

The presentation was delivered by Mr. R. Sri Muhunan, Assistant General Manager (Corporate and Development), in conjunction with the 50th Facilitation Committee (FAL50) conference held at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Headquarters from March 23 โ€“ 27, 2026.

Key highlights of the sharing session includes maritime digitalization initiatives across Malaysia, challenges in the development and implementation of the MMSW system, the MMSW system framework, outcomes of engagement with ministries, government agencies, shipping organizations, and port operators, also Malaysia's commitment to overcoming system development challenges to ensure seamless global trade.

PKAโ€™s presence on the IMO stage demonstrates Malaysia's steadfast commitment to complying with international guidelines and ensuring a more harmonious and efficient ship-to-shore data integration.
