On 4th April 2022 at about 1645 hrs Port Police Control Centre (PPCC) received a call regarding a fire in the container yard. Upon receiving this information both our Port Police and Safety Team immediately arrived at the scene at 1650 hrs followed by Westports Firefighting Team at 1700 hrs. Our team immediately started to put out the fire.

PPCC at the same time called the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) from Port Klang for their assistance. FRD arrived at 1800 hrs and immediately deployed 2 fire engines to combat the fire.

The fire spread to the nearby containers in the yard and fearing it could not be contained, the FRD requested backup from several other stations. The FRD utilized all the available resources to bring the fire under control.

The fire was finally brought under control at about 0300hrs. The FRD will be conducting a thorough investigation as to the cause and source of the fire. The Royal Malaysian Police has also been notified and they have sent a team to investigate the cause of this fire.

At this point of time, we are unable to ascertain the extent of the damaged containers. All the affected box operators will be notified in due course. There were no damages to port equipment and infrastructure. We are also pleased to inform that there were no injuries or disruption to our operations.

We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved in helping us to put out the fire particularly FRD from various stations.

- Follow up shipment status for customer & sales team
- Handling customer issue
- Vessel & Haulage booking

T & C:
- 18 years old & above
- Malaysian (Malay, Indian & Chinese)
- Prefer to have at least 1 year experience in logistic industry (Operation / Customer Service work)
- Able to speak / Write in Malay/English
- Basic Knowledge in Computer apps (Microsoft Excel Worksheet / Word & etc)
