The official opening of the Bukit Kayu Hitam–Sadao CIQ road link marks a significant advancement in regional connectivity, enabling smoother cargo movement and strengthening economic collaboration between both nations.

For Bukit Kayu Hitam Inland Clearance Depot (BKH-ICD), this strategic infrastructure development further reinforces our position as Malaysia’s Northern Gateway, enhancing supply chain efficiency and supporting the continued growth of ASEAN trade.

A key feature of this connectivity enhancement is Pintu Timur- a dedicated access road for transit and transhipment cargo that enables trucks from Thailand to bypass the regular import queue at Bukit Kayu Hitam CIQ. By streamlining cargo movement and reducing border congestion, Pintu Timur strengthens BKH-ICD’s capabilities as an efficient inland transhipment and bonded logistics hub.
