Lumut Port is strategically located off the Straits of Malacca, on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, in Perak. The Port was established as a State Port and a catalyst for economic growth, development and industrialization of the State and the nation in general. It owns and operates the port at Kg Acheh, Lumut which was officiated on 24t

h July 1995 and have been in operation for more than 20 years. In 2002, Lumut Port began to operate and manage Lekir Bulk Terminal. Lumut Port Industrial Park provides land space for warehousing or transshipment and is on offer for local and foreign investors who are able to contribute to the throughput of the Port.

MALAYSIA–PAKISTAN MINERALS HUB | LUMUT PORT

A significant step towards strengthening Malaysia–Pakistan cooperation in the minerals sector.

On 26 August 2026, Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn. Bhd. (LUMUT PORT) and Pakistan Coal Association (PCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the establishment of the Malaysia – Pakistan Minerals Hub at Lumut Port (PakMinerals), facilitated by MY Niaga.

The initiative aims to connect Pakistan’s mineral resources with Lumut Port’s logistics and value added capabilities, creating opportunities for trade, processing, investment and access to Malaysian, ASEAN and global markets.
