Yesterday was a proud moment for our team in Miri as we welcomed YB Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Minister for Transport Sarawak, to the HAS helibase.

Beyond the aircraft and the hangar, the visit was an opportunity to share what truly keeps our operations moving: our people.

From the teams preparing every flight and welcoming passengers home from offshore, to our pilots, engineers, radio controllers and ground personnel working behind the scenes, every safe journey is made possible by people who understand the responsibility that comes with what we do.

The Honourable Minister witnessed an offshore passenger arrival and experienced first-hand how our teams work together across flight operations, engineering, radio control and medevac readiness to keep every mission safe and operationally ready.

As a homegrown offshore helicopter operator serving Sarawak’s oil and gas industry, we are proud of the role our people play in connecting offshore operations with home - safely, professionally and every day.

But what if it’s more than just a bad night’s sleep?

As part of Safety Week 2026, we had a special session on Sleep Apnea — a condition that often goes unnoticed but can seriously impact our health, focus, and safety at work.

From loud snoring to daytime fatigue, the signs are easy to dismiss — but the risks are real, especially in high-responsibility environments like ours.

A big thank you to our guest speaker, Dr. Selva Kumar, Resident ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat & Neck) Surgeon at KPJ Miri, for shedding light on this important topic and reminding us that quality sleep isn’t a luxury — it’s a safety essential.

Because sometimes, staying safe starts with simply getting a good night’s rest. 😴

As part of our Safety Week programme, team members took time to pause, check in and prioritise their wellbeing during our health check session held in partnership with AIA Malaysia and KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital.

From blood pressure checks to friendly reminders that health matters, it was a simple but meaningful step towards caring for the people who keep HAS moving every day.

Because a safer workplace starts with a healthier team.

Behind every milestone is discipline, teamwork, and countless hours in the air — all driven by one priority: bringing people home safely.
