From Assistant to Senior Operations Assistant, Bernardo Elido Afonso’s journey at Beira Logistics Terminals (BLT) is a testament to dedication, continuous learning, and operational excellence!

Bernardo joined BLT on 5 January 2023 as an Assistant in the M14 Department. Driven by a desire to understand every link in the supply chain, his strong work ethic was recognized early. Earning him the Best Employee in M14 award for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024. 🏆

His steady growth led to key milestones:

2023: Joined BLT as M14 Assistant & named Best Employee

2024: Awarded Best Employee in M14 for the 2nd year in a row

2025: Promoted to Senior M14 Assistant

2026: Advanced to the Operations Department as Senior Operations Assistant

Today, Bernardo plays a crucial role in our core operational flow. His expertise covers import/export workflows, customs procedures, SAD issuance, JUE/MCNET systems, container tracking, and direct coordination with shipping lines and transport partners.

For Bernardo, professional success goes beyond job titles—it’s built on shared challenges, strong teamwork, and daily problem-solving. We are proud to have him on Team BLT as he continues to drive efficiency and excellence in our logistics operations! 🚀

From day one, dedication opens doors! Today, we’re highlighting an incredible journey of professional growth within our team.

Joining BLT on February 6, 2023, as a Weighbridge Operator, this team member quickly mastered cargo control, operational flow, and the fast-paced dynamics of logistics—always bringing discipline, accuracy, and strong technical skills to the role.

That hard work and commitment paid off! On August 18, 2025, they were promoted to Warehouse Admin Officer in our Bulk Operations (Bulk Ops) team. Today, they play a crucial role in managing our inbound and outbound bulk cargo, keeping administrative operations seamless, and delivering top-tier service directly to our customers.

From May 5th to July 4th, Team BLT hit the court for the 1st edition of the Sporting Clube da Beira Corporate Cup – Mixed Volleyball Tournament—and what an incredible run it was! 🏐🔥

Out of 20 competitive teams, BLT fought hard all the way to the finals and proudly secured 2nd PLACE! 🏆✨

We are incredibly proud to share a special initiative close to our hearts. Group J&J Mozambique (JJB, IBLT, BLT & ST) recently hosted a wheelchair donation initiative, providing life-changing mobility to six wonderful children aged between 7 and 13 years old (five girls and one boy).

For children living with physical disabilities, a wheelchair is so much more than just equipment—it is a gateway to independence, education, healthcare, and social activities. It also provides much-needed relief to the dedicated caregivers who support them every single day.
